The Runaway Princess [Link x Reader]

[Chapter IX]

'Where am I?'

You were floating in pitch black. Nothing but emptiness.

 A void maybe?

You didn't know how you got here or how long you were in this darkness. But after while your back hit the cold hard ground. You groaned laying there for bit before getting up to exploring the place you were at. The first thing you noticed was the sky, it was dark and eerie. This place didn't look like the world you knew. 

This was the complete opposite.

Looking around, you noticed that there was barely any ground around you. In front of you there There was a tall building, a slanted path leading up to the building. You began to walking towards the building, looking at the buildings. You stopped looking at the cloak of smoke that was blocking the way. You had no idea what it was and you didn't want to figure out thinking that it wasn't a very good idea. You looked to see if there was any other way to get pass the smoke but couldn't think of one.

You let out a sigh giving up instead turning around to go back to the place you started. When you turned around you were about to walk but stopped seeing someone standing right in front of you. The figure was wearing  black cloth that had blue lines that stretched inside the cloth they also had some kind of helmet covering their face that reached down to the shoulder blades. You didn't have much time to react when the figures hand reached towards you had glowing red as the hand pushed against your chest. You were shocked but was snapped out of it as you felt a sudden surge of energy making you back up with a jump.

You gasped realizing that your back touched the black smoke that you were determined to avoid. The reason you noticed was because when your came in contact, you felt the back of your bones begin to shift. You moved forward before anything more could happen. You knew something would happen if you were to touch it. You calmed down when your bones began to stop its sudden movement. You looked back who you assumed was a man noticing his figure only to see that he was gone. 

You were obviously freaked out. 

You had no idea where you were, there was a strange man where you also had no idea where he was, and he did something to you when his hand touched you, that was the only thing you knew that happened for sure.

You wanted to get out of here. You didn't even have your weapons with you. All you had was your clothes and armor. You were no longer in your calm head space as you began to run down the slanted path way that led you to where you were. You were breathing heavily making your down as fast as possible wanting to get out of here. You just about made it only to run into the same man the you met up there.

You let out a grunt as you fell back. You looked up at the man in your full blown panicked state. You backed up still on the ground wanting to get away from him. The man just walked up to you in a calm matter bringing up his hand back up that was now glowing again.

"W-Who are you? What do you want?" You asked frantically trying to get away from him only to stop when you were at the edge of  where ever you were..

He didn't answer until he was right in front of you. "I want you to show you what you are."  His hand closed in on your form ready to do whatever he was going to do.

"D-don't touch me" You said closing your eyes.

You woke up with a jolt eyes wide looking up at the ceiling. You were panting heavily as you were running an hour long marathon and you were sweating like crazy. You felt horrible, your throat was scratchy and sore. You don't know how long you've been out or how you even got here. The last thing you remembered was fighting multiple bokoblins and Garnet running away.
