On Monday morning Baekhyun was doing his morning routine in a dark cloud. His body was moving on its own, Baekhyun's mind was blank with his heart hurting him.
The cold hair had no impact on him as he ran in the street. The music was loud in his ears, his eyes were focused in front of him. His pace was steady, unlike his breathing. The jog was harder than usual.
Once he reached home, he threw his hoodie away, not minding where it could land. The rest of his clothes were bond to the same fate. He took a cold shower, hissing under the water that was raining harshly on his tense shoulders.
When he was ready he got out, his heart still beating like crazy in his chest. On the way to his work he counted his steps. In the locker room he quickly got changed before heading to his class room.
"Hi Baekhyun" greeted him Hyungsik.
He ignored him, didn't even glance at him. He did the same to every coworkers who came up to him. At lunch he stayed in his room, practicing some of his moves in the air. He felt irritation boiling in him because he couldn't control his heart.
"Baekhyun I ..." began Jennie while entering the room.
He kept kicking the air without minding her. She tried to call him one more time but he was deaf to her calls. She would get tired eventually. They all did at some point.
"Baekhyun I'm sorry but I really need ..." she insisted.
"What ?" he shouted harshly.
He saw the hurt look on her face, and her hand shook lightly when she handed him a paper.
"Next week planning, I need your approval because there are some changes" He could notice she tried her best not to stutter.
He sighed and grabbed the paper, giving it a quick review. He then shoved it back to her and resume his practice, a little "ok" leaving his lips. He saw her gasp in the mirror and then exited the room as she feared him.
A faint smile came to his lips but it transformed into an angry contortion. He put his hand on his chest and restrained himself from punching the wall to let it out.
When his students came in, he didn't greet them. He acted like he did with his colleagues. He was cold, not saying anything unless it was to correct their mistakes.
There was no smile, no kindness in him. He yelled when Mark fooled around, telling to act serious or to leave. He rubbed his temples when looking at them.
"Useless" he muttered sternly under his breath.
He made a pained expression when noticing Chaeyoung looking at him with a glint of fear in her eyes. His students were a little bit afraid by the sudden change in their teacher's behaviour.
But he stuck to his choice and showed no sign of emotion. The hour seemed like an entire day and when he dismissed them, they all ran out. He sighed and went to grab his bag against the wall. He had prepared it so he didn't have to stop at the locker room. His hand went through his hair as he closed his eyes.
"Sir ..."
He slowly turned around to face Yukhei, a few meters away from him. The teenager fidgeted the strap of his bag, his eyes darting everywhere except for Baekhyun's gaze. He was uneasy, that was clear. Baekhyun had noticed that during practice Yukhei kept on stealing glances at him.
"What ?" he asked coldly.
"They w-want me to go hunt with them and I-I don't know what to answer to avoid it" explained Yukhei looking down.
Baekhyun bit his bottom lip, thinking. He exited the room Yukhei tailing behind him. he was walking side by side with his student. Baekhyun needed a moment to choose his words, because obviously the young hunter would not leave without an answer.
