A piercing sound broke the silence in the room. Baekhyun groaned and lazily reached for his phone on the night stand to turn off his alarm. Sitting up on his bed he started stretching. His eyes took a few seconds to get used to the darkness of the bedroom. He got up and walked over to the door, to switch the light on. He started his morning routine, changing into some sweatpants and a hoodie over a tank top.

He grabbed his phone and wallet before going outside of his apartment. Locking the door he greeted one of his neighbour in the hallway. Once out of his building he looked at the street, it was 6 am so there weren't many people outside. He began his usual 5 miles jog. He couldn't miss it, because if he did he would not feel good during the day. It helped him to clear his head as soon as he was up so he could start the day with a fresh mind.

After it he went back to his home, wiping off his sweat on his face with his sleeve. He undressed himself and stepped under the burning water. He cleaned his skin, not minding scrubbing hard even on his scars. The pain disappeared years ago, only leaving the scar as a reminder. There were different type of scars on his torso. The biggest was composed of three long laceration marks, starting from where his heart was to under his ribs. Others were shaped in curves or lines, some large or barely visible.

The only common point between all of them was that they were dating back to the same period. It's been years since he last had a new one. His hands went through his hair, his face right under the water. He exhaled deeply before turning off the water, ready to finally start his day.

The center he worked at wasn't far from his apartment, it was a pretty big complex. There was the dojo and also a gym center. A customer could learn krav maga then hit the gym and at the end of the day take a yoga class. Baekhyun taught self-defence, krav maga and taekwondo. He also held private lesson. He wasn't the only professor for these disciplines so he didn't have a packed schedule.

But it was still keeping him busy enough and it was well paid. Once arrived at the building he addressed a nod to the receptionist and walked along the corridor until he got to the part dedicated to the staff. Into the locker room he changed his outfit for a pair of sweatpants and a loose t-shirt.

His co-workers were talking about the latest comic movie that came out, but he wasn't paying attention. He preferred to stick to work and didn't want any friends. He saw them enough at work.

"Hi Baekhyun, ready to work ?"

He turned around and saw Hyungsik a coach at the gym center.

"Yes" he simply answered.

"We are all going to hang out tonight, get a drink and maybe go to club. Want to join us ?" It seemed he noticed Baekhyun beginning to talk and quickly add "It's for Seunghee's birthday."

"No sorry I can't tonight," Baekhyun said.

In fact he could go but didn't want to. He always rejected offers of hanging out but each time Hyungsik would come back. Baekhyun admired his determination. Plus Baekhyun still remembered Friday night and his encounter with the raven haired alpha.

That weird tension between them kept disturbing him so he wasn't in the mood. He shook his head to clear his mind and headed to his first class of the day.

At noon he left the complex with a bag in his hand, walked down the road and entered a cafe right at the corner of a crossroad. The place was pretty crowded but he ate there every weekday. It had an American vibe, with large pictures of New York framed on the wall. The brick wall created a great contrast with the black leather chairs. There were booths in one corner for more privacy some standing tables with stools along the window.
