03. 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙥𝙝𝙖

He ran like his life depended on it but it wasn't his, it was Minseok's life. His heart was beating rapidly in his chest, his hand already founding its way to the knife on his back. He stopped at the entrance of a dark alley, the city's lights not giving enough light to the place. His eyes immediately scanned the alley and spotted the source of the scream.

Minseok was back up against a wall, two werewolves standing in front of him. Baekhyun clenched his jaws when he saw the alpha putting his hand on Minseok's chest. The other was a beta but clearly the alpha was leading the game. Baekhyun marched toward them and with a quick movement of the wrist he draged the blade on the man's arm.

The alpha stumbled backwards with a grunt, locking his dark gaze on Baekhyun. The latter was now standing between Minseok and the two wolves, ready to attack them. He heard Minseok scream but he pushed it in the back of his mind. He focused on his opponent and eyed them with rage.

"Damn pretty boy, you'll have to wait until I kill the hunter before we resume our little play time" spat the alpha with a disgusting sweet voice to Minseok. Baekhyun snorted at that but said nothing.

The alpha made a sign to the beta and the latter attacked Baekhyun. Baekhyun wasn't surprised, he knew some alphas were arrogant, letting betas do their job, for instance get rid of an annoying hunter. Baekhyun grabbed the wolf's neck after dodging the move and punched him in the stomach.

He elbowed him right on his spine then let him fall on the dirty ground. But the beta got up quickly and threw his fist in Baekhyun's face. Baekhyun blocked it and swiped his foot in the male's leg to make him stumble. He took the opportunity to stab him in the chest. A loud cry of pain echoed in the alley as the beta fell on the ground a second time. Blood flowed out of his chest as his breath became shallow.

Baekhyun didn't waste any time watching the wolf die and switched his attention on the alpha. The wolf snarled, barring his teeth. But Baekhyun wasn't afraid. He lunged foward and they started fighting. The alpha was stronger than the beta and could defend himself pretty well. He wasn't like the humans Baekhyun fought against.

His wolf's senses were better and quicker to react. Baekhyun took every blow the alpha threw at him without making a sound, waiting for the perfect moment to counterattack.

Blood stained his clothes but it was not visible on the black material. He didn't pay attention to it as long as it was not his. His muscles were aching because of the intense fight but his determined spirit was giving him more strenght. His knucles were bruised after to many harsh encounters with the other's skin.

Baekhyun could feel the adrenaline in his veins making his body even more prompt to react. It had been a long time since the last time he killed but the thrill was intact. He knew he was doing the right thing and that thought made him fight harder.

When the wolf stepped back because of a deep cut Baekhyun had just made in the chest, the hunter decided it was time to end this. He kicked the alpha in the nose, grabbed his arm to lock it in the male's back. The alpha screamed in pain but squirmed to escape the tight grip. Baekhyun made him kneel in front of him, standing behind the wolf.

He let go the arm to yank the alpha's hair, his other hand holding the knife to the man's neck. The blade pressed against the thin skin and blood began to rush out. Baekhyun was calm as he saw the end of the fight and secured his position. Pulling at the hair he spoke with a low and stern voice.

"Surrender"

That was it. The wolf had a choice and Baekhyun just waited for the answer. He heard a growl and felt the wolf trying to break free.

"Surrender bastard. Not every hunter would let a chance to live to a worthless dog like you." he repeated.

"You're stupid if you think I'll surrender to a hunter !" spat the wolf.
