Baekhyun got pretty busy the next few days. He had students to prepare for the upcoming tournament, a wave of new arrivals and also a damn stalker as in an alpha who had nothing more interesting to do with his life.
Chanyeol was outside the complex the three following days. Baekhyun acted as if the other wasn’t there but he felt his strong gaze each time he left his work. The Saturday night he was on watch. Nothing much happened that night, he had to tame down a drunk wolf and helped an omega dealing with his mate but no more death.
Beside that he was a wreck inside. Since Tuesday he appeared to be restless, spending more time at the gym just to exhaust himself. At night he would think too much about silly things. He had that sensation like he was missing something. Like a missing piece in a puzzle. He just couldn’t put his finger on it. If he could figure it out maybe he would be able to clear his mind.
Laying there in a quiet park on Sunday night retrieved from his memory moments of his old life. His eyes glued to the starry night, his fingers found the knife placed beside him. The stars were glistening in the dark blue sky.
The park located in a secluded area of Seoul prevented the city lights to cover the stars. No soul wandered at such a late hour in an isolated park so Baekhyun was able to enjoy the scenery alone. A gust of wind messed up his hair, bringing a smile on his lips at the familiar feeling.
Without thinking he began to play with the blade, letting his fingertips slid on the cold metal. His hands were used to hold the knife, knowing by heart every inch of it. He searched for a specific constellation in the sky. A genuine smile painted his lips when he found it. He traced lines between the stars to form the complex design.
The Capricornus constellation. It was always a game to find it when he was a kid. His mother loved to stargaze and he remember when he was little she would teach him everything she knew about the stars. The first was the constellation that belonged to his astrological sign.
In their hometown, they could clearly see the sky and Baekhyun spent hours and hours under it. The night sky witnessed many events happening in Baekhyun’s life.
"Ah" he hissed.
He had made a cut in his left palm. The blood slowly dripped down his hand and onto his hoodie. That was his punichement for diving in his past life. His mother, his whole family and those starry nights belonged to the past.
He sat up and took out a tissue he had in his pocket. He pressed it against the cut and sighed. With one hand he put back in its sheath the knife and stood up. He needed to go home and clean the wound.
The next day he sported a thin bandage around his left hand. He began to feel a bit down, he was tired of the chaos inside his mind. The cut was a reminder of his weak moment. Since his training period he had never injured himself with his dagger. So the mistake from yesterday proved how disturbed he was.
He lifted his head from his phone when he heard a knock. He went to the door and welcomed his last class of the day. It was a bunch of hormonal teenagers learning taekwondo.
It was a beginner class and he felt like half of them would probably still be in this class next year and the other half would simply drop the practice. He studied each one of their faces, wondering why they were attending this class if they weren’t interested.
"Good afternoon class" He greeted them with his hands placed behind his back.
They all bowed in front of him, the conversations dying down. Some fidgeted on their feet, others looked straight ahead of them. They started to practice, Baekhyun showed them new moves and made them spar in small groups. He rectified some of their positions.
