They spent the rest of the day in Chanyeol’s comfy bed, either having sex or cuddling with from time to time Chanyeol getting up to grab some food in the kitchen. The next day was the same thing again, sex, eating, sex, showering, sex, talking. And sex could be anything, from a simple hand job to a wild round of steamy sex.

Chanyeol was practically glued to Baekhyun side, always holding him in his arms, touching him or nuzzling into his mate's neck. Baekhyun had figured that Chanyeol was acting more possessive and clingier because of his rut, as well as more dominant but Baekhyun wasn’t really complaining. It was even funnier to tease or deny the younger something to make him understand that even if he was an alpha, he wasn’t going to have everything he wanted.

They also learnt more about each other, Chanyeol had memorized every scar and every line of the tattoo Baekhyun was sporting while Baekhyun discovered how to push Chanyeol towards the edge. But it wasn’t only physical, as Chanyeol always tried to refrain himself until he couldn’t, just to be sure Baekhyun could have a proper rest or they could finish their conversation.

Baekhyun asked many questions about ruts and alphas in general to understand the situation better and it was fascinating for him. That was why they were in bed in just their boxer briefs, Chanyeol leaned against the pillow and the headboard with Baekhyun comfortably seated between his legs, the hunter’s back against the wolf's mascular chest. Their laced hands rested on Chanyeol’s stomach and they were talking while watching a movie on Chanyeol’s laptop.

“You could really do that?” Baekhyun surprisingly asked with a frown.

Chanyeol just hummed, to busy nosing Baekhyun’s neck lightly while his eyes were fixed on the screen. He had told Baekhyun that Iron Man was his favorite movie so they were watching it between two waves of rut. But Baekhyun was too shocked to care about the movie now. Chanyeol just bluntly admitted he could kill every person who would dare disturb them during his rut.

“It’s a common thing. During ruts, an alpha is more possessive over his partner, the more animalistic part of us is in control and we’re territorial during that period. If someone was to come here and disturb us, either trying to get to you or seeing you while I’m pleasuring you, I’d kill him. Or at least I would have a really hard time refraining myself from doing so. I’m the only one allowed to see you wrecked, to see you with a blissful expression just because of me, to hear you moan and pant. So if someone sees you in that state, I’m going to beat him up or ended up killing him. It’s disrespectful to interrupt mates in rut or to see an alpha’s mate like that. Wolves’ laws would back me up on that.”

Baekhyun was absolutely shocked by that, wolves really respected ruts and heats and even more mates. He tried to focus more on his shocked state than the shiver that ran down his spine, ignoring what Chanyeol said and what it provoked in his body. He felt Chanyeol's arms tightening briefly around him after what the younger told him, probably because he was wondering what would happen if someone walked on them. Baekhyun rubbed circles with his thumb on Chanyeol’s hand in a soothing manner to calm him.

“Well I’ll prefer you don’t kill anyone, I still remember how you were last time.”

“Not the same” Chanyeol mumbled, suddenly inhaling deeply Baekhyun’s scent. “I would be protecting you, protecting us in my den so I would not feel guilty.”

“Den?

- My apartment is my den. Well it is because you spent so much time here so it’s here that we’re building our relationship. My wolf acknowledges this as our den. But I have a house on my pack’s grounds and it’s my real den. Where I’ll be living after I’d take over my father’s role. As the pack’s alpha, I’ll need to live on our territory.”
