14. 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂

“I’m sorry but I’m sure he wants to kill me”

Baekhyun rolled his eyes at what Chanyeol had said, throwing his coat on the couch and ruffling his hair.

“Obviously” he answered as he fell in the couch, sighing when his body hit the cushions.

“Your best friend wants to kill me and you don’t care ?” insisted Chanyeol walking towards the hunter.

They had just got back from an afternoon and dinner spent with Minhyuk and Irene, the female omega having proposed to go on some kind of double date. She regretted it when Baekhyun and she had to put up with Minhyuk and Chanyeol’s hostile behaviour. But Baekhyun had to admit, Chanyeol was the one initiating it, being overprotective of his friend. And Chanyeol was hurt in his alpha pride so it didn’t help the situation either.

It started with all the good means in the world, as the couple was accepted in the lupi’s pack’s town, they wanted to celebrate. It was a good opportunity for the four of them to hang out together. Especially for Baekhyun and Chanyeol who were getting closer as days went by.

Now they were in Chanyeol’s apartment, right after dinner because he decided to stop there, having spent enough time “getting to know each other”, as Irene had advertised this outing. Baekhyun leaned on his elbows and looked up to meet Chanyeol’s gaze who was standing beside the couch. He smirked when he saw the frown on the younger’s face and what looked like a pout.

“Well you’re the one trying to get into his friend’s pants so yeah he doesn’t like you.” Baekhyun teased.

He saw Chanyeol widening his eyes and coughing at his words, swallowing his saliva with difficulty. Since the kiss in the club’s bathroom they did nothing other than the occasional back hug from Chanyeol or holding hands.

It was because Baekhyun never initiated such things and Chanyeol didn’t wanted to push the older so he was waiting for him. But the hunter knew how hard it was sometimes for the alpha. So Baekhyun liked to tease him, just to see how far he could go, knowing Chanyeol would never force him.

“You are awful you know that ?” Chanyeol asked him while walking away.

“Yeah yeah, poor alpha” Baekhyun smirked but his smirk disappeared when he caught sight of Chanyeol taking of his shirt in the middle of the hallway. “Hey don’t go around half naked like that” he said loud enough for the younger to hear as Chanyeol entered his bedroom.

He saw the head of the wolf popping out of the bedroom with a sly smile on his face.

“Last time I checked, you were pretty mesmerized by the view” and he winked before disappearing into his room.

Baekhyun grunted, running a hand through his hair. The younger was getting bolder and truthfully Baekhyun didn’t knew what to think of that. He shook his head in disbelief and stood up, going to the bedroom. He found Chanyeol picking clothes out of his dresser. The alpha turned slightly his head to glance at the older.

“Who’s going first to shower ?” he asked.

“Go ahead, I’ll wait” Baekhyun answered with a shrug.

Chanyeol nodded and went out of the room. It wasn’t the first time Baekhyun found himself in that room, but he never took time before to explore a little bit. He went to the desk and saw papers related to the master’s degree Chanyeol was in.

The younger had taken biology and was pretty good in this subject, because Baekhyun recalled Minseok telling once that Chanyeol was unfairly smart with a good memory so he had always spent less time than the others studying. Baekhyun never went to college, he just managed to graduate from high school and worked as a cashier until he found his current job at the age of twenty.
