Maya looked out of the window as she saw how her daughter and fiancé were on their way back to the apartment.
Maya had suggested Josh and Scarlette do something together during the holidays even if it is just going on a walk every now and then.
"Mom, look what I have," Scarlette said as she came in through the door with a rock.
"Told Daddy you pick up rocks? Go put it with the collection then I'll make some hot chocolate," Maya said as her daughter ran to her room.
"She's getting so big. Can barely believe I have a seven year old. She does good in English. Apparently in History as well. Things turn out really weird," Josh said.
"And to top it off we are entering 2024. Let the crazyness begin," Maya said.
