"Happy birthday, Mommy," Scarlette said as she came out of her room to her mother.
"Thank you, Sweetheart. You are really sweet. Where is Dad? He still in the bathroom?" Maya asked and Scarlette nod.
"Okay. Eat your breakfast. Josh! You have to hurry if you guys still want to be on time," Maya said and Scarlette put a bite of cereal in her mouth as Josh came out.
"Someone is cheery. Happy birthday," Josh said as he gave Maya a kiss before sitting down next to his daughter.
"So, Scar. Ready to take on the new year?" Josh asked.
"Yes," Scarlette said and Maya smiled.
"You two are too precious. Okay, Pumpkin. Let's get going," Josh said and they were off.
