As he heard his name in her sweet voice, his mind seemed to let go of its support towards him. Everything in front of him was blank, he forgot who he was and where he stood. All he remembered was, was that he loved the woman who stood in front of him more than anything else, that he was seeing her after almost a year, and that ... it could be a dream. Was it a dream?, thought Lakshman. If it were, there would be nothing more painful if it broke. Lakshman thought,
"She's been in my dreams many times, but right now, it feels like something so much more."
But what if it was NOT! Lakshmans mind played games with him. His hands fell off from her shoulders and he looked away closing his eyes.
Urmila was shocked. She had dreamt of him so much that it did not take her long to determine that the man who stood in front of her was real, of bones and flesh. But why did he turn away from her? Was he.. Was he rejecting her? Did he not one her anymore?
Urmila knew in her heart that these thoughts were to absurd to be true, but she had very little faith on her luck. Still, her faith on god made her believe, no, maybe it just could be something else.
"Is this happening?" Was all Lakshman could say, with his eyes closed and his head throbbing in pain from what he had seen.
Urmila pulled back her tears as she walked towards him, oblivious to what else was happening in the world around her . She needed to make him feel what was happening, she knew that he too had seen enough to not believe his eyes.
Urmila stood just behind him, and out of all the things she could have done in that instant, the tired and frail Urmila placed her soft head on the arch of his back. Even in her desperate attempt to stop herself from erupting, Urmila could not help but burst out in tears.
"Laksh..." She sobbed.
LAkshmans eyes shot up in an instant. His eyes met with Pawans, standing opposite him, who too cried seeing the sight in front of him. His heart was very sensitive indeed. All Pawan could do was simply nod, so as if to say, "Its HER! Its your Urmila!"
Lakshman turned out slowly, as Urmilas sobbing face now met his torso. And As Lakshman felt the wet tears against his thin shirt, his hands non their accord went around her and clasped her tightly.
And as Urmila slightly stopped her sobs, feeling his welcome touch on her back, it was Lakshmans tears now that she felt falling on her hair.
"Urmi.." Was all he could say as he clasped onto her tighter. Urmila reciprocated by digging her face into him as she sobbed harder. The two of them cried, but surprisingly, none of them knew what the Tears were of; if they were happy or sad tears. All they wanted to was live, LIVE like they had never before in that moment. Only keeping the thought of his brother and his Siya Bhabi in mind, Lakshman forgot everything else. As he felt Urmilas soft her understandably worn out skin against himself, his hart filled up equally with guilt and love for her. He knew somewhere that he was partly responsible for what had happened, but he also knew, that he would be the one to give her back what she deserved.
