A/N~ New chapter time :D
Chapter Twenty-
~Adalyn~
I had mixed feelings about the rest of the week. And it wasn't just because the thought of returning to Georgia had me a nervous wreck.
It was mostly Callum's fault in all honesty. He said I didn't open up to him enough and I agreed. So all week I tried to give him little insights on my family, the good and the bad.
I told him everything from my life while I was in school to how I got a job from Reagan. I even explained more about my past relationship with Jared.
It was weird. The more I told him, the easier it felt for me to share even more. Sometimes I'd go on such a long tangent that I felt Callum would want me to shut up. Every time I met his gaze though, he'd be watching me curiously, all attention on me. I got the feeling he enjoyed how much I was telling him considering how long I had been closing him off.
Now that he basically knew everything there was to know about me, I felt completely at ease with him. I mine as well as moved in with him because that's where I spent every night. I went from having a drawer dedicated to me to splitting half his closet and dresser. I was worried I was smothering him or something, but he didn't seem to mind. In fact, Callum was the one that encouraged it.
I slept in his bed with him every night. And much to my chagrin, we only slept. I wanted to do so much more with him but I didn't want to get shot down again. Maybe he just didn't want that from me yet.
Gosh, I'm beginning to sound like a needy whore, which I swear I'm not!
Walking into the building on Thursday, I felt great. I was on some high and I thought nothing could bring me down.
"Do you mind if we stay a little bit later tonight? We have that meeting coming up and I need a bit more preparations made on my part," Callum asked me.
I found him in his office where I went to ask him what was taking so long. My shift was already over and I was used to us leaving at the same time.
"Sure, is there anything I can help with?"
"I just need you to fill and file this paperwork, if that's alright," he grinned.
I rolled my eyes. "Callum, it's my job to do what you tell me. You don't need to ask."
Grabbing the files with all of the clients names on it, I took it back to my desk. It took me a good two hours to finish it all and I bet the sun was already going down.
"Here you go," I said as I tried to hand back some copy's. He was still working but when I entered, he sat back in his office chair and crooked a finger at me.
That's why when I was working on the files, I had to leave the room. It seemed that if I was around him, his complete attention would be focused on me. I liked that but honestly it was good for neither one of us if we're supposed to be working.
Sighing playfully, I walked to him slowly before standing before him. I gasped when he grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap. Remembering the files that were still held clenched tightly in my grasp, I offered them to him silently.
Not taking his eyes off mine, he held the other end. "Thank you." It came out more sensuously than I think he meant it and it forced a shiver up my spine.
Another hand came up to grip my chin softly before it slowly pulled me down. Our lips came together slowly and I loved it. The way he took his time, the way he nibbled on my bottom lip gently; it was all so arousing to me.
