It happened, he was finally one of them. After overcoming many obstacles, Mickey was part of them. Ian didn't want to do it, but he did love Mickey. If only Ian had met Mickey back in the 1900's, it would be different. Not everyone agreed with the decision, everyone meaning Fiona. She didn't agree with Mickeys choice, she didn't want him to be one of them, it was very difficult for her to come to terms with them.
Now everyone was alright. Fiona being the big sis, moved everyone up to the mountains in Colorado. After earning her Doctoral degree and after her honey moon with Steve, she decided it was best for everyone. Fiona was the first to change, after her struggles of becoming a new born, she met Steve, who was a doctor. Steve had been part of cult, which caused him to turn. He didn't have a choice, but he did become something out of it, he became a healer.
Ian was the oldest out of their "kids", he was only 17 when he was turned. Steve was his doctor and he was dying. Fiona and Steve would never do this to someone who had another choice. Next came Lip, he was left in the streets for dead after a bad drug deal, Fiona changed him. He had a hard time coming with terms of being a new born, he would take off for months with no reason. That all changed when he met a pretty women, Mandy. He changed her himself, swore that he would always protect her. Lastly there was Debbie, she was turned by Fiona, nobody knew the women was pregnant with a baby girl. Fiona only did it because she knew of their secret and threatened to expose them if she didn't turn her herself. Debbie didn't survive from the venom, it was too powerful. The baby, which they later named Franny, survived as was a perfect human. Ian took custody of Franny and raised her as his own.
Ian met Mickey at a camp site. Mickey was camping with his friends while Ian was on a hunt. Years had passed and Ian didn't know that half of the forest he lived in was turned into a camping area. They would make small talk every time they saw each other, then they finally realized they went to school together. Mickey found out his secret but didn't threaten them, he wasn't even scared. At that point both boys were madly in love with each other.
Now they all lived in a large cabin. Free from the outside world and dangers that could take their lives away. Everyone in that group was different. Fiona had the power of beauty and love, Steve was strong minded, Lip was a tracker and incredible smart, his mate Mandy, she had the power to send electronic shocks. Ian had the power to read minds, Mickeys power hadn't took over him yet, he was only a newborn. The first couple of months was hard but he made it through. At first he thought he wasn't gifted, until one day.
"Garret and Marina just arrived." Ian said as he walked up to Mickey. "It's just a rehearsal dinner, I don't know why your family is making a big deal out of this." Mickey said as he stared at the river flowing through. "Hey, you're part of this now, suck it up." Ian said as he kissed the back of his head. "We got some time to kill, about what an hour?" Mickey said with a smile as he wrapped his arm around Ian's waist. Ian giggled, "That can wait, we have guest." Mickey scoffed, "Fuck them, they can wait." He said while kissing Ian.
"Lookie over here." Mandy said as she approached the couple. Both men stopped kissing and turned to her, "What do you want?" Mickey said annoyed. "Not my fault I could hear you all the way over there." She said and then Lip approached them. "Being a couple teenage boys?" Ian flipped him off and they all laughed. "Ian." Garrett called while walking up to them with Marina. "Garret, hey." Ian said as he gave them a hug. "This is Mickey." He said and Mickey shook their hands. "It nice to finally meet you, this is Marina my wife." He introduced, just then three girls appeared. "These are my daughters, Maria, Mellia, and Macea."
"Hello." Both Mellia and Maria said with a smile. Macea nodded her head and was quiet. "Macea is new to the family." Marina said with her thick Italian accent. "Please, be nice." Mellia whispered to Macea. Macea looked at the back door and began shaking her head. "I can't be here." She said and Mellia shushed her. "You promised." Maria said. "They have one of them." Macea grunted out and began holding her throat. Mickey looked at Ian, who was staring at the girl. "Macea let's take a walk, come." Her mother said as she grabbed her arm. Macea pulled her arm away and pushed her off. "Don't." Macea yelled as Garret come towards her. "I can't be here." She yelled. "I can smell it all the way from here, I just can't." She said while shaking her head. Ian stopped up, "What? What is it?" He asked. "That precious little human you have locked away in the house." She said while coming forward. Mickey stepped forward as she did. "Her scent is still on your clothes." She said and Ian stepped closer. She started breathing hard until she snapped and stood back. "I have to go." She said as she ran off. "Macea."Garret called out but she was already gone. "I'm so sorry Ian, to the both of you." Marina apologized. "She's not usually like this." Garret added. Mellia and Maria looked at each other, "Usually she isn't around humans." Mellia added as well.
"Well, she'll be fine." Garret said as he held his wife. Ian laughed and held Mickeys hand, "What's a family gathering without a little drama." He said and they all laughed. "Ian, you didn't tell us your mate was a shield." Marina said as they all quieted down. "What?" Mickey asked and looked at Ian. "Oh yes, I could feel it, sense it." She said as she stepped closer and felt his cheek. She slowly caressed it and smiled. "You have a very powerful gift." She said and stepped back. "Shields are very rare, but they come with a lot of power." Garret said. "It's a protective force." Marina said. Mickey felt someone grabbed his wrist and he turned around to see Mandy. He looked down to see the electro shocks shocking his wrist. "Oh yeah your a shield alright, shoulda put you on your ass." She said and released his arm.
"Can he use it to you know, protect others?" Ian asked. "It's possible." Garret said and they all looked at Mickey. "What about you, how do you use your, talent." Marina asked Mandy. "Mostly in my palms, but I've notice I can radiate it all over my body." She said as she looked at her hands. "It took a while to keep it under control but it's stable now." She said and Mickey looked at her. "Show me, please." He said and Mandy nodded.
They moved from the stream to the front of the house. Ian stood behind Mickey and Mickey stood on the porch. Lip sat on the ledge and Garret along with his family stood on the side. "You gotta picture it, understand how it moves, focus on nothing but it, feel it." Mandy said as she stood in front of Mickey. Mickey closed his eyes and focused on his surroundings. When he opened them he felt a wave of energy realizing from him, but only for a second. He shook his head and looked back at Mandy. Mandy hummed, "I think you need something to motivate you." She said as she shifted her eyes to Ian. Ian gave a little laugh and stepped forward towards Mandy.
"Wait, Ian don't." Mickey said as Ian reached his arm out. "It's alright I can handle it." He said as he held his arm out. "This should be good." Lip said as he jumped off the ledge. Marina and her girls laughed. "Ian don't I'm not ready." Mickey yelled but Mandy teacher arm around Ian and shocked him. Ian yelled in pain and moved his arm. Lip laughed and Mickey glared at him. He looked back at Ian who was looking at his arm. "I'm sorry I said I wasn't ready." Mickey said as he stepped closer to Ian. "It's alright, I'm good, lets do it again." He said as he reached his arm out again. "Focus Mickey, or he's gonna be hurting." Lip said as Ian stepped closer. Mickey focused harder as Mandy reached for his arm. He could that energy leave his body and then feel Ian's energy latch on, but for only a second again. Mandy shocked Ian again but held on longer. Ian yelled and fell to his knees. "Mandy, stop." Mickey yelled out and Ian moved his arm back. Mandy smiles, "You seem to lack motivation, should I see what Franny is doing." She said while stepping back. Lip stood up now and Ian glared at her. "Are you insane?" Mickey growled and stepped closer to her. "I'm kidding, lets try it again." She said and Ian finally got up. "Remember, focus." She said as she reached her arm up. "This ones gonna be on full power." She said and Ian looked at Mickey with wide eyes. Mickey nodded and looked at Ian instead of his arm. He focused on his hair and his freckles. Once again he felt that energy leave his body but this time he felt Ian's energy latch on to his, fully. Mandy touched Ian, but Ian didn't scream or shout. He closed his eyes and he was still standing. He still had a discomfort face but that soon relaxed and he looked back at Mickey. "It's working." He said as he held his arm out. Mickey smiled but never lost focus. Mandy let go and she laughed. Mickey laughed as well and walked towards Ian. "Use your talent wisely, it very powerful, don't underestimate it." Garret said and Mickey nodded.
The door opened and Franny came out. "Daddy." She called out and ran towards Ian and Mickey. "Hey." Ian said as he held her up. She smiled and laughed. "Dada." She said and reached her arms for Mickey. He grabbed her and she smiled. Fiona came out and smiled. "The guest are arriving, lets go." She said and they all began walking inside. Their guest, were some of Ian's friends and Mickeys side of the family, his mother and brothers who were all human. They invited a lot of people, mainly humans. "Lets go." Ian said as he kissed Mickeys head. "You ready for this Milcovich?" Ian asked as the stepped into the house and began walking towards the outdoor area. "Damn straight Gallagher."
