Aftermath of the Lip and Mickey fight, what we didn't see happen between Mickey and Ian.
--
"Chill the fuck out!" Ian yells.
He pushes Mickey away and gets between the two men. Mickey reaches his arm to hit Lip again and Lip moves to hit Mickey.
"Fuck you!" Lip yells towards Mickey, Mickey grunts as he tries to get out of Ian's hold.
"No, fuck you Philip! You no good piece of shit!" Mickey yells and Lip grunts and moves Ian out of the way.
By now, Ian has had enough of the two. He shoves Mickey and Mickey lands on the couch.
"That's enough, both of you!" Ian yells and Mickey stares at him, he wipes the blood off his lips.
Lip stares as Ian, then back at Mickey. The blood in his mouth becomes to much, he spits it out on the floor. Ian turns and stares at Lip. Mickey gets up and walks past Ian, he turns and heads upstairs. Ian closes his eyes and watches Mickey walk up the stairs, stomping away. He turns to Lip and Lip wipes the blood from his mouth.
Ian shakes his head and stares at Lip, he rubs his face and Lip snorts.
"Fucking hell Lip." Ian says and Lip scoffs.
"Me? This is my fault, are you fucking kidding me?" Lip exclaims while raising his voice.
Ian only stares and shakes his head at Lip.
"This is all because of your piece of shi-" Before Lip can finish, Ian points his finger and steps closer.
"Don't." Ian says sternly and Lip only stares at Ian.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence." Ian says and Lip stares, not saying a word.
Ian shakes his head and walks past Lip, bumping his shoulder. He pasts Debbie and Franny in the kitchen, not caring about them at the moment. The only person he's worried about is Mickey. He steps two at a time up the stairs. He slightly jogs to their room, he doesn't see him. He hits the wall and looks down. Part of him thinks Mickey's left, left the house, he hates that.
Faintly, he hears water running from the bathroom. As Ian listens closely, he can hear slight cursing. Ian smiles softly and turns to walk to the bathroom. The bathroom doors shut and locked. He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door softly.
"Mickey?" He asks softly.
Silence.
"Mick?" He asks again.
Silence.
"Mickey, please answer the door." He pleads and leans his head against the door.
Silence. But after a moment, he hears shuffling
"Leave me alone Gallagher." Mickey says and Ian smiles.
"You know, that nickname doesn't work anymore, you're a Gallagher too you know." Ian says and smiles.
"I'm not a Gallagher if you're shit head of a brother is one too." Mickey says and Ian smiles.
"Mickey." Ian says softly and leans away from the door.
"Please open the door." Ian adds.
Inside the bathroom, Mickey is holding a wash cloth and leaning against the sink. His face has a bruise from the punch. His head feels a tad sore from the head punch and his knuckles don't feel so good. With a sigh, he leans off the sink and hesitates for a second, finally he opens the bathroom door.
Ian moves back when he hears the door unlocking. His face drops when he sees how Mickey looks. Mickey doesn't look him in the eye, he stares at the floor. Ian moves into the bathroom and starts going through the medicine cabinet.
"Sit down Mick." Ian says and instead of arguing, Mickey sits down.
There are slight cuts on Mickey's hands, Ian gets an alcohol wipe, he kneels down on one knee and grabs Mickey's hand. Mickey gives him his hand and watches Ian clean his cuts.
There is only silence between them, until Mickey speaks.
"I'm sorry." Mickey says and Ian continues cleaning his hand.
"I shouldn't have, uh, been bitchy to Lip, especially in front of Franny." He says and Ian looks up.
"You don't have to apologize to me, I mean yes, you were upset with me, you should have lashed out on me, Lip was closer I guess." Ian says and continues cleaning Mickey's knuckles.
"I didn't want to lash out on you, I don't want to do that anymore." Mickey says and Ian looks up at him.
Ian smiles softly, he leans up and kisses Mickey's forehead. Mickey closes his eyes at the contact. Ian pulls away and looks Mickey in the eye.
"You're not that person anymore." Ian says and Mickey stares at him.
"Alright, you're not that person anymore." Ian reassures and Mickey nods.
Even though he did beat the shit out of Lip, and if he was being honest, he considered himself the winner in that fight. Being told he wasn't the person he was, did make him feel better about himself. Especially if it came from Ian. Not many opinions people made about him mattered, but if it was Ian's, it mattered to him. Whatever Ian did or said always mattered to him, it would be like that for the rest of his life.
