'We were both young when I first saw you.'
Mickey sat in his backyard, a grey soft blanket covering over him. He sat in his yard listening to the wind and the wind charms tinkling. He liked the quietness, it was soft and peaceful. He could hear his boyfriend in the house yelling. Most likely work. He huffed as he stared into the garden, there wasn't much, but it had nice flowers and some different plants. He could hear the yells get louder, he blew a breath out as he continued staring at his garden. His throat became dry, he was getting thirsty and as much as he wanted to stay out here, he wanted a beer.
He slowly slid the back door open and stepped in. He couldn't see any sign of his boyfriend so he walked towards the kitchen. He opened the fridge, he was going to grab a beer when he decided on a water bottle instead. He closed the fridge and his eyes met with his boyfriends. He jumped slightly and then closed the fridge door.
"Jesus, you scared me." He whispered and moved to the counter.
"What are you doing? I was looking all over for you." His boyfriend said as he followed him. Mickey could feel the goosebumps spread on his body as his boyfriend talked.
He didn't want to say anything that would upset his boyfriend, not tonight, he was tired, tired of arguing.
"I- was outside." He said and his boyfriend smirked.
"Was calling you, you should have answered me back, got me worried, thought you took off on me." He said and Mickey faked a smile as he stared at him.
"Why would I do anything like that?" Mickey asked as he played with the water bottle, his boyfriend just hummed as he lifted himself off the counter.
Mickey watched as his boyfriend moved to pass him. He figured that was it for the talk, so he began to walk back to the back door. As he walked to the exit, the other man grabbed his arm, forcefully. He pulled Mickey back and stood in front of him. Mickey stopped and stared at the door.
"Where are you going now?" He asked and Mickey shuddered.
The words made him feel weak and numb. He froze like he was a six year old boy again. His breath hitched as he looked his boyfriend in the eye.
"Outside." He simply said and his boyfriend stared at him.
Mickey could feel his boyfriend squeeze his wrist tightly then completely dropping his hold.
Mickey moved back a bit and held his wrist. His boyfriend smiled and turned away from him.
"You spend a lot of time out there, not enough time in here." The man said and grabbed a glass from the cupboard.
"I payed a lot of good money for this house we wanted together and now.." He said as he got ice and poured whiskey.
"You hardly spend time with me, always outside, or out and about." He said and Mickey watched him poor more than enough whiskey into his glass.
"I like it out there." He said and the other man scoffed.
He took a sip and stared at Mickey.
"So what? I'm supposed to sit here in this big ass house alone? By myself? I thought we were a team baby." He said and Mickey didn't answer.
Too afraid to answer the question. If team mates had anger issues with their other team mates then yeah, they're sure as hell a team.
The man stared at Mickey and then grabbed his glass. With a grunt he tossed the glass, Mickey flinched at his reaction and turned so the glass shards wouldn't get him.
