Chapter 5

W-what did he s-say?!

I couldn't speak. I stared at him in shock. No one has ever said something like that to me.
"D-did you actually m-mean that..." I said while staring at the ground.
He nodded. "Of course I did"

I blushed and hid my face away from him. "Your not going back." He said calmly.
"H-huh?" I have to go back....or else they'll actually kill me.
"I said your not going back."
"B-but I have t-too."
He stood up and sighed. "No your coming with me for the time being." He said.
"We can't have you in that toxic household." I stayed silent. "Do you know when your parents are out of a couple of hours or so." He said while looking at me. He looks genuinely concerned.
"U-um they go to the pub every evening for about two hours or so..." I said while getting up to follow him. "Ok we're going to your house then" Byakuya said while grabbing my hand again.
"W-what why?" I said. "You just said I had to s-stay with you..."
"Yes you do, we just need as much evidence of your abuse as possible."
Is he going to try to jail them?!
"We will be out of there as soon as possible, then you never have to go back."
I nodded. He started to walk out of the building and into the street.
We headed to Byakuya's house first so I could drop off my stuff. I looked around his house. It's huge...
Byakuya smirked. "No time to look around now, follow me." He led me to a spare room. "You'll be staying here for the time being."
I nodded and placed my stuff down on a neatly made bed. I then followed him back out of the room. "If your in need of anything, my room is at the end of the hall."
"Ok"
We made our way back down the large staircases and headed back outside. "I need you to tell me where your house is."
"Ok. It should really be that far from here." I said while walking in front of him. I started to walk in the direction of my house. The walk was silent the whole way. I guess Byakuya knew that I hated to talk about my parents and what they do. I then spoke up. "Hey Byakuya?" I started. "Hm?"
"Why are you being nice to me?"

"That's something you will find out soon enough."
