Byakuya's POV

I watched as Makoto stepped of the cliff.
I ran up to the edge as fast as I could, almost tripping in the process.

I reached out and grabbed his hand.

I fell down to the ground and held Makoto's hand tightly.

"Byakuya, let go." He said, sternly.
"Makoto are you an idiot?! I won't let you fall to the ground and die!"
"Byakuya if you don't let go your going to fall too!" He shouted.

He's right.....no I can't let go.

"I'd rather fall down with your then let you die alone!"

"Huh?! Byakuya?!" A voice called out.
Thank god it's Komaru.

"Komaru help, please!" I shouted.

Komaru, followed by Toko ran up to the edge of the cliff and grabbed Makoto's other hand.

All three of us pulled Makoto up,

"Makoto what were you thinking?!" Komaru yelled, crying.

Makoto stayed silent.

I walked over to him and pulled him into a hug. "Please Makoto, dont do that again." I said softly.

Makoto nodded and started to sob into my shoulder.

Time Skip to the next week.

No POV

Makoto skipped 5 days off school to recover, while Byakuya took care of him.

Makoto decided it was best to keep what happened a secret from most of his classmates, since most of them haven't recovered from Sayaka's death.

He decided to at least let Byakuya explain the situation to Mukuro and Aoi.

While Mukuro stayed silent, Aoi started bombarding Makoto with questions.

Byakuya ended up answering most of them since Makoto was overwhelmed.

Aoi hugged Makoto and said Thank you to Byakuya.

Eventually they went home.

Byakuya, of course, walked home with Makoto, not wanting to leave him alone for to long.

They stopped at Makoto's house.

"H-hey Byakuya?" Makoto asked.
Byakuya turned is attention to Makoto. "Yes?"

Without a word, Makoto pulled him in and kissed him passionately.

"Thank you everything." He said while walking into his house.

Byakuya smiled.

"I love him."
