It struck to him since that he isn't a friend to her.

I mean in a way that as Jihoon noticed—besides Lumi's girl friends— it will always be Vernon or Soonyoung she's clinging onto, as much that his best friend is looked out by the younger girl, too. The same goes with Seungkwan or Seungcheol, being close to Raine and Gwen as well. If not, he could ask the other Hufflepuff friends he has that's close to Lumi, as Seokmin and Wonwoo are on the look-out for her, and another take being the Ravenclaw, Jeon Jungkook if he would ask out of resorts.

So what made him out of her radar to be seen as close to her?

Even Park Jimin has the shots on her, as much that he could observe how much she rolls eyes at the Slytherin, he could see quite well Lumi could approach him differently... unlike when it comes to him.

Jihoon could only observe them nearby with his lips in a thin line.

He just goes back to his meal as he listened to the others converse loudly for their plans at the upcoming Yule Ball.

Ah, yes, it's that time of the year again.

"Unlike this champ over here, I don't procrastinate over these things! Ha ha!" Soonyoung says proudly, even patting Jihoon with a thump.

The blond Slytherin glares at him. "Wish you could say the same with your school works. Geez, I could hear you loud and clear you know."

Soonyoung dismisses the first half of his statement. "As you should." He smirks, with an implication in his lips. "Lighten up with the tests, and have fun for once!"

"I do know how to have fun, I just..." He sighs, looking elsewhere but his half-eaten meal, and beside the raven-haired Hufflepuff, who's listening intently with a smile as their Gryffindor friend talks lively.

When their friends aren't really paying attention much to them, that's when Soonyoung gave Jihoon one last nudge, speaking a slight muster of courage to him.

"You should ask her out already." He gave Jihoon one last pat on the back. The soften look on Soonyoung radiates a different kind of warmth towards Jihoon.

Soonyoung actually noticed how since then, the Slytherin has a soft spot towards the younger Hufflepuff.

But for years, the problem with Lee Jihoon is that he's quite oblivious, numb to his own feelings as well that he doesn't know when he likes someone. He can't quite distinguish the thin line between like as a friend, or something more. He doesn't even know yet that the younger harbor some feelings towards him as well.

As a best friend of the two, Soonyoung knows too well, and he knows their own pacing. But damn, it's quite frustrating. He's getting impatient too, you know!

It's hard playing cupid to hard headed love birds.

Well, at least to day Lumi seems to be doing a better performance than usual, with a help of another person though. Soonyoung is like a proud uncle as the young Hufflepuff turn towards Jihoon.

Instead of putting her frustration towards effing Park Jimin that is.

Jimin smirks, much to Lumi's annoyance now that he got up his seat, pushing her to talk to the older Slytherin. Wait, were they talking about me?— A thin line appeared in Jihoon's forehead, as their shoulders lightly bump into each other. Lumi blushed, adding to his surprise that the younger is only a few centimeters closer to him.

She quickly revived her composure.

"Uhm, I want to sit next to you, oppa— I mean, Jimin-sshi just wanted to switch seats but he's being a big bother about it."
