Never ignore your gut feeling. Her mom used to always say to her.
But due to her pent-up anxiety these past months, it's hard to distinguish to be honest.
Not that it was hard to ignore.
The black abyss in her stomach is hard to hide away that easily.
This is the second time that that she had sat in their table though the atmosphere felt six times heavier. Why was she nervous? Or was it her gut feeling... oh man, why do I have a bad feeling about this?
The scene had gone too bright to be ending well at this point.
If it weren't for the bribe pastry— I mean, the batch of cupcakes Jungkook offered, she wouldn't be snapped out of her sudden trance. Cupcakes does help calm down her nerves.
It is only now that the older Ravenclaw will tell him of his whereabouts. They only got the topic down with the Quidditch match with the Lions versus Snakes, and as she saw, not all were present in the group. Though, today looked livelier, too vivid for her at this point as to why she's having a stirred-up gut feeling.
One individual caught her eye in particular though, the Slytherin prefect sitting across her, too still for that matter that she didn't even notice his presence not till he yawned.
She was able to lighten up a bit at the older's Dad Jokes, though as she glances at Yoongi, he looked deadly as if he would be able to stab Seokjin with a bread roll.
Not really... He just looked like he was in a bad mood that she won't even dare to lay a finger on him.
They met eyes for a moment, and by the looks of it he hasn't got any sleep due to his eyebags. Let alone a paler complexion of the young man.
"Where's the coffee?" His voice was a bit hoarse, somewhat like he had just woken up. But the sun is already at peak at this time of the day. "Ahhh, I won't be able to take a nap later, uhhh..." He's spurring words at this point.
Another sun appeared before her, as Jung Hoseok could only shrug it off, handing the older a cup of caffeine. He's used to this particular mood whenever it resurfaces but it's not that often it does. He just smiles, even beaming at the younger girl that she blushed.
Well, to admit... she is a bit shy around Hoseok. She can easily catch a crush on someone but he is such a sunshine, considering that he was at the same house as her.
"The patrol still rough this week huh, hyung?" Jungkook asks.
Yoongi only hummed and prompt a quick nod at Jungkook. They just let him be with his coffee because they might further put him off if they'll bother him.
They meet eyes again, he didn't seem to mind Lumi's presence at the table but the moment Jimin looks towards her, she flushed. She maintained the small gap between them as they sit apart beside each other. She could only sigh inwardly.
Not just because she missed their game last time. Lumi's still having mixed feelings towards the older male in their last meetings. Though she didn't see him at the table last time. It was only Namjoon, Seokjin, Jungkook, and Taehyung around (adding Sierra).
She just turns to look back at Jungkook, already at his second cupcake at this point. He grins at Lumi's initiation to speak up.
"A'ight, this better be good." Lumi removes half the wrapper off the cupcake, ready for a bite of sweetness. "I sold my soul to get my hands on these devils."
"Don't call it like that, they're made with love." Jungkook chimes, taking the last bite off his second piece. "And besides, I think Jimin saw you last week by the hospital wing, anything wrong?"
