Lumi met up with Raine after classes, just catching up on what happened during the holidays, just outside the courtyard as the chilly spring breeze hit them... it's still early onto the new season as winter is still felt by the tips of their skins.
But it's been almost a year, and spring has always symbolized new beginnings.
In some cases though, growth is different for all, and some leaves stay the same and have not turned into a new.
It seems a bit ringing to the ears to overhear her former group of friends nearby. The cycle still goes on then.... How Caitlyn is still controlling, now towards Vera.
"You should've listened to me... that boy was bad news." The huff in her voice was piercing, continuing with her slurs. "Even though he's a Ravenclaw, he's a dumbfuck."
She didn't expect to hear the same words being spat out again.
How familiar...
The Gryffindors have other classes with the Slytherins so they are quick to their feet.
"Wow, that stings..." Raine shuffles through her notes awkwardly, leaning back to the stoned cobbled wall as Lumi takes a big huff beside her.
"She didn't tell me anything about Junhoe back then, passive-aggressive even—like that. But the moment he turned bad, she's quick to drop him. Like she did with me." There's a bit of strain in her throat as she says that, sighing more as she lets herself cool off. Lumi's no longer affected but she can't help but wince at the scene earlier.
"They've been going on about that the whole morning, even Jimin-sshi had to go through with me with a pep talk." Lumi trails off, her tone coming off in a halt to indicate she's done with the topic.
It did sink into Lumi, she can now see the signs. Now, she does need a supporting friend after all that happened.
And what more she could ask for from Raine and them to be honest.
"Wait, weren't we supposed to talk about the same thing just now." Raine says, implying in a certain tone that teases Lumi.
It worked.
The thought almost slipped off her mind. "Nu-uh, now I don't wanna, hey!—" Raine hits her by the shoulder and they could only stifle on their laughs.
"Yah, Byul Lumi."
"I'm kidding!" The Hufflepuff laughs, in attempts to cool down the feisty Raine Joo.
The vibe is back at it again as the post-winter air gusts pass them by the fields. Remembering their supposed talk at the moment, Raine grins. "So, yeah... about Yoongi-oppa."
"You're now calling him 'oppa' huh?"
"He's older but I'm about to tell you something." Raine says, now turning a bit serious, her friend can't help but move closer to her.
The Ravenclaw smiles at how she acted. She starts. "I thought we're here to talk about the tension between him and Jihoon last time..."
"What?"
She's now facing a genuinely concerned Lumi, she got to hear this first hand. Blinking twice, it's more obvious now that she didn't even take it that way with the Slytherins.
"Yeah, when you and Yoongi left elsewhere after, as quiet Jihoon-oppa is, he's terribly quiet that time. I also talked with Sierra beforehand, and I was not the only one who noticed."
"Oh..." Lumi turned still as the cold wind. Like a flurry of emotions in her, she can't help but think of Jihoon too at this moment. She flushed red, confused. "Why though?"
