Mr. George Floyd was a good man, with a kind heart and a peaceful mind. but a few days ago, he was asphyxiated by a cop (not to mention a colleague.) The sick man kneed on his neck for 9 MINUTES.
Right now, the cop was charged with 3rd degree murder, meaning that the murder he committed was titled as an accident by the law. Kneeing on someone's neck is for 9 MINUTES is not an accident. Another thing is that there were 4 other cops who were holding him down, while george was unharmed.
Why was he asphyxiated? Well, the authorities falsely accused him of writing a fake check, one of which cost him $20.
The check, was in fact, not fake and was real. Yet it cost him his life because the authorities thought that he was lying just because of his color.
I've been doing the best i can to forward the movement. I've signed petitions, retweet various sayings, and ive encouraged others to do so too.
I'm here to say that you have a voice. no matter how small or big your account is, you can use it to make a huge impact. this is something that should not be taken lightly, as it's been going on for centuries.
Not only was George the only person who was killed by doing something humanly, multiple- no. HUNDREDS of black men and women have been KILLED by doing something a normal human should do. Why? BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOR. BECAUSE OF THE MELANIN IN THEIR SKIN. BECAUSE IT DOES NOT APPLY TO WHAT RASICTS WANT TO SEE.
So, I'm begging you. Tell your friends, your family, sign petitions, retweet awareness tweets, tweet about it, do something.
