I woke up sitting on the couch cuddling with Dan who was still asleep. He was soft like a pillow, so peaceful and cute sleeping. I tried to get up slowly without waking him.

I went around the flat to find Phil. He was already gone. What time is it? I pulled out my phone.

"10:36, Oh my gosh!" I ran back to the lounge and woke up Dan by shaking him.

"Wake up, were going to be late!"

"Uuuhh." He groaned. "What time is it?"

"10:36! Get up!"

"Oh, gosh!" He stood up quickly. "Oh, god." He felt his head and almost fell over.

"Are you alright?" I said, holding him steady. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"I think I got up to fast."

"Ok, let's get dressed. Be careful, ok?" I helped him up the stairs to his room.

"O-ok." He was out of it. Good thing he was going to be given medicine or something today.

I put on my clothes and waited for Dan to come out.

"Come on, Dan, It's 10:45."

He carefully came down the stairs and I helped him to my car. We arrived just on time and signed in. Dan was coughing loudly and I rubbed his back a bit to relax him. Soon, the nurse came out and led us to a room.

"Dan, how are you feeling? I know you are not fine." I asked.

"I feel a headache, and my throat hurts."

"Why couldn't you say that yesterday?"

"Because, I really felt fine yesterday."

The doctor came in and asked Dan some questions and said he just had a cold. He perscribed some cold medicine and pain relief pills and we picked it up from the pharmacy. We were back in the car and Dan was reading the labels.

"The side effects are so much worse than the cold." He spoke.

"I don't doubt that. What are they?"

"Dizziness, nausea and vomiting, disorientation, loss of memory, and the worst one, death. Either you have a sore throat, or you die. Ok, cool."

I laughed. We got home and Dan took out a glass of water and opedned the bottles.

"Dan, you can't take them yet. You need to eat something first."

"what is the worst that could happen if I don't?"

"Death." I said enthusiastically. "The quote on your grave will say 'Here lies Daniel James Howell. He died whilst trying to be ironic' Do you want that?"

"Ok, fine. If I do die, make sure it is." We laughed.

He had some toast and I was reading the labels more.

"Dan, you might want to lay down after you take the medicine, it's likely that you'll become disoriented the first time you take it."

"Really?" He laughed. "What is being disoriented like?"

"I guess like being drunk or something?"

"I wouldn't guess you drink. You look too good."

"You guessed right. I've never had any alcohol before."

"Not even in college or at a party?"

"Nope, believe it or not."

We spoke a bit more and Dan went in his room to clean up and then came out.
