Time and space faded in and out. Light became sunset within moments, as her mind drifted weightlessly in and out of consciousness.

"Shit..." the deep voice would ring in her ears. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, little wolf!"

"Quick tie that off," a female voice would drowned out the other voices. "Lift her up, let me get to her back."

Tension would be felt across her body, the weight of gravity pushing against her chest. Her head dropping to one side.

"I got you!" A reassuring male voice spoke softly in her ear. Their hand coming up to support her head.

Then time was gone again. Pain rushed through her shoulder, she wanted to scream but she couldn't. A moan would escape her throat and a pair of lips were instantly at her ear.

"Shh.." They would try to calm her, "We're almost there."

The sound of a soft heart beat would thrum to her, drifting her back into sleep. Her mind swirling about her and her thoughts everywhere and no where at once. She couldn't keep anything straight and her desire to fight was taken away by the need for rest. She was tired, more so then she had been in a long time.

"We need to rest." A tenor voice spoke into the quiet.

Jhera's conscious returning to her once more. Light beat against her eyelids, the shielding of the trees no longer protecting her from the shift in time. She felt the motion of her fingertips as they moved slowly. The touch of soft wool and cotton beneath her. It was warm and comforting, calling to her to pull deeper toward it. Her fingertips urged to the fabric, and she sighed as she felt time stop. Soft breaths hovered over her eye lids.

"We're going to stop for the night to rest." The voice was a whisper in her ear. "Do you want me to stay with you?"

Jhera could only vaguely moan and grip to the fabric. Feeling the weight shift around her and a pair of arms draw her close. She felt safe. The arms that held her were a comfort she didn't want to escape. A long, soft exhale escaped her nostrils as time stood still. She felt warmth and drew near it, her awareness slipping away.

Light danced across her face as morning came. Her eyes fluttered and opened with a struggle. They were still heavy, but her body was responding. She was sitting up, leaning against something firm on her left side. At first thought it was a rock or the floor, because of the firmness of it. Yet it was warm and had the smell of warm fall about it. It was a comfort to be near. Her senses were returning, as she drew a deep breath in through her nose. Warm maple and oak trees rushing to her, she smiled blissfully and cuddled into the scent. Arms wrapped about her waist, pulling her close as she cuddled in. She felt safe, secure and protected. Sleep quickly whisked her away again.

It was the sound of voices that would wake her. The smell of the woods far from her and the smell of chemicals rushing her nostrils. An unfamiliar, feminine, voice began to fill the room.

"She's healing fast." The woman said softly, "Faster then expected. When her wolf is ready, she will be awake."

"Thank you doctor." A masculine voice responded.

"Has anyone reached out to the Elder's yet?" A familiar voice spoke up, Jhera remembered them, that was Morgan. Her eyes fluttered with the sound of his voice and the recognition of him talking.

"Eli sent messages, but they won't respond." Jhera's lips twitched, she knew that voice, that was Henri. The Alpha that had tried to protect her from Erick.

Her mind raced. Oh god! Erick! Is he ok? What happened to him? They know it wasn't his fault, right? Her thoughts were met with only silence, fear rushing her body. She felt a hand wrap about her fingers, holding them tightly.
