The screams and cries of demons mingled with the overwhelming gusts of wind that flowed from the embraced couple. Blood curdling screams came from the depths of the warlock, as the black clouds began to encompass him. The overthrow of darkness to his soul elicited screams that forced the few followers that remained to flee from the property.

Jhera felt memories pour over her. The feeling of his hands on her body. The laughter that carried through the pack house as he would carry her up the stairs. The feeling of agony as she tried to leave him. His smile when she walked into a room. She recalled the first time he embraced her and how he would hold her close after. She felt his arms snake about her body, as even know the rip in her soul began to mend.

Henri's mind was filled with emotions and the rush of embraces and kisses. How she laughed when he held her close and how she would encourage him to chase her. How she had looked the night they were joined as one, the night she became his Luna. His heart healed and his soul mended with each second that their lips remained connected.

They pulled apart, each gasping for air, their eyes meeting each other as if for the first time all over again.

"My Alpha." Jhera's voice a whisper, the tenderness from her screams only evident in the raspy hint that it carried.

"My Luna, my love." Henri's hand coming up to brush her auburn hair from her face, their eyes locked and their souls holding them fast to each other.

"She said, I had to..." Jhera moved to speak, the memory of her mother flooding to the front as her brow furrowed.

"Shh.." Henri kissed her forehead softly, "not now." His voice calming and soothing as he held his mate in his arms. His naked body shivering lightly as he rose from the cold ground. Dipping low, he drew her into his strong arms. Her head coming to rest against his chest as he held her tight to himself. The cloak she had on hanging loose from her neck, as William moved calmly to unfasten the garment. With care he draped it over the pair of them, just as the eclipse began to recede.

The sound of crumbling stones drew their attention back to the platforms. The once proud warlock no longer stood in the midst of the garden. William and Henri exchanged a brief look, then turned to walk away from the mansion. The subtle limps and agonizing looks of the team are the only sign of the battle that once raged in the garden. The bodies of those they once fought now gone, absorbed by the black smoke that carried away the warlock. The blond guard was all that remained of the advancing onslaught.

"So," Erick's voice carried gently in the night air. "I guess we know what the missing piece was." His smile moving from Henri to Everest.

The nervous chuckle the young man gave only confirmed the suspicion of the wolf. It was true loves kiss, the kiss of mates that were destined to be together from the dawn of time. It was that one piece of pure magick that could stop the invasion of darkness.

Jhera moaned softly within the arms of the one she loves. Her eyes closed but her body restless.

"My love," Henri cooed in her ear, yet the moans didn't stop. His eyes moved to look to her face, seeing the contortion of her brows.

"May I?" Denver offered to examine the woman, carefully moving to reach for her. His hands hovered over her body, waiting for the Alpha's approval before touching her.

Henri's brow tightened, his jaw clenched and he swallowed hard. He looked to Denver, his age showing more after the night they'd had. He nodded slowly, as his grip tightened about his bride.

Denver's hands moved slowly, checking her arms and legs first. With no signs of injury, he moved to her chest and then to her abdomen. It was the subtle touched across her ribs that caused her to whimper and cry. Denver's eyes widened as he looked to the Alpha, his look of shared pain concerned him more.
