A/N - I want to first say "THANK YOU!" Thank you for taking the time to get this far. We are nearing 40 chapters and the turmoil that has pulled love apart seems to be getting worse before it gets better. Second, this chapter has two sections. I didn't want you to have to wait to see what's happening on both sides of the door for another chapter.

Please keep voting and commenting. I love reading your comments and I look forward to hearing your thoughts, emotions and feedback. If you're on Twitter, feel free to join us #HenriAndJhera.

Enjoy!

Anger rolled off the duo in waves, as Hektor escorted everyone else inside. His pained look to Vera spoke of the deepest apologies, but Vera only smiled as if everything was perfectly fine. She'd stepped aside from the doorway to allow everyone access. Her small sitting room and dining area would be just enough space for the group.

"Does anyone want tea?" Her voice broke the uneasy silence as she shuffled through to her kitchen, her head turning to wait for an answer.

Ashleigh shook her head, tea was not something on her mind. Her eyes taking in the nature themed abode.

"No, thank you," Eli's reply was polite, his eyes moving along the shelves of books along one wall.

"Got anything stronger?" Erick boomed into the air, his lower back resting against the backside of a wooden framed love seat.

William grinned and pointed to Erick, "I like his idea."

Hektor smiled, but shook his head. He followed the fae woman into her kitchen and assisted in preparing drinks. His strong hands holding small saucers, cups and mugs. He declined when she offered him one of the tankards, choosing instead to lift a small teacup from it's saucer. A wink escaped his left eye as he watched her eyes take him in. Their relationship was sacred, a delicate balance of give and take. Hektor remembered when he met the fae. A sigh leaving his chest as he recalled the day his mate died. His green eyes took in the bright blue hair of the one that had rescued him. How close to death he had been the day he tumbled into her.

He smiled to her once more, his hand brushing lightly against the back of hers as she lifted a carafe. He felt her flinch at the touch, and then relax as she smiled back to him. Silence their perfect language, as if their eyes could speak a language only they could understand.

Hektor moved to follow the petite woman as she delivered drinks to her guests.

"It's not often I have this many in my home." She smiled as she handed a large tankard of mead to Erick and another to William. "So, please allow me to be a gracious host?" She lifted a chalice from the tray in Hektor's hands, a pale purple liquid filling it.

Ashleigh tried to smile a thank you, but her ears were too busy trying to listen to the engagement outside. To her dismay, she only heard silence.

"Don't fret dear," Vera smiled softly, "Jhera is an odd one, but has better control then you think." She turned to hand a tankard to Morgan. "You're young Alpha will be fine."

Eli turned from the books to regard the blue haired woman, noticing how young her features were in that moment. "Who?" His brow furrowing as he watched Morgan receive a tankard from her.

"Jhera, dear." She handed him a saucer with a cup on it, the steam from the tea rising wistfully. "The woman out there with your Alpha." She lifted her own saucer from the tray and placed a caring hand on Hektor's cheek. A gentle touch of thanks.

"You mean Jay?" Erick chimed in, wiping mead from his facial hair with his sleeve. A cloth towel hitting him in the face as his arm moved from his beard. Following it's path to the kitchen, stood Hektor. A cup of something warm in his hands and a smirk on his face. He shook his head to the burly lumberjack and pointed to the towel he had thrown him.
