Lynette Moreau and David Jacobson are extremely different from the other Pogue parents, meaning they genuinely love the group of friends. Lynette always asks for John B and Kie's aid in the kitchen, claiming to need help, but Lettie knows it's because Lynette strongly believes that John B needs to learn to cook something other than eggs. Kiara because, obviously, the girl works in her parent's restaurant and knows her way around the kitchen. David has a soft spot for Pope, consistently engaging the teenager in high-intellect conversations. Pope had even listed David as a reference on his scholarship application. Both parents absolutely adore Jj for two reasons: The first being that he treats Lettie like she's the center of the universe, and the second, Donavan adores him. Shy, anxiety ridden, Donny, who still has yet to utter two words to the rest of the Pogues, warmed up to the rowidest of the group immediately. One time, Donavan stole Lettie's phone and called Jj, asking him to come over and play superheroes with him. When Lettie came home from a surf session, she was both surprised and overjoyed to see Jj chasing Donny around with a beach towel cape tied around his neck.

So, Lettie, John B, Pope, and Kiara all help clean up, the latest leg of the Tour De France sitting happily in their stomachs. They feel slightly rushed, wanting to leave to pick up the Keg they had convinced Jj's cousin to buy them.

"Je ne sais pas si j'adore les soirées auxquelles tu vas, (I don't know if I love the amount of parties you go to)," Lynette says, handing a dish to Kiara to put away, her words directed at Lettie, who is wiping off the dining table.

The brunette sighs, "Maman, c'est l'été. J'essaye juste de m'amuser, (Mom, it's summer. I'm just trying to have fun)," John B raises an eyebrow at the girl from across the kitchen, giving her a questioning look.

"Lynette," David says, getting the french woman's attention, "Laissez-la s'amuser, Scarlett est une fille intelligente, elle sait ce qu'elle fait. (Let her have fun, Scarlett is a smart girl, she knows what she's doing.)."

"Exactly!" Lettie says excitedly, pointing to her Dad, "Et je reviendrai ici après, je le promets. (And I'll walk back here after, I promise.)"

Lynette looks between her partner and her daughter before she gives in, "D'accord. Est-ce que Jj reste ici ce soir? (Okay. Is Jj staying here tonight?)," Lettie nervously nods and Lynette shakes her head, chuckling to herself and handing Kiara another dish, "Have fun tonight."

Lettie smiles, high fiving David as she exits the kitchen, heading to her room to change. She ditches the bathing suit she was still wearing under her clothes for a matching pastel blue lingerie set, even though Jj probably won't be seeing it tonight. Lettie also throws on a red crop top and her favourite jean skirt before leaving her room. She goes down the hall to Donavan's room, where the door is wide open. She leans on the door frame, grinning at the sight of her boyfriend and her brother sitting on the floor, building a lego set together.

"I hate to interrupt," Lettie says, making Jj's eyes snap up to her, he looks her up and down, his lip drawn between his teeth. Maybe she was wrong about Jj not seeing her lingerie tonight, "But I need to steal Jj from you, Squish. We're leaving soon."

Donavan's big brown eyes meet Lettie's and he pouts, "Okay," He turns to Jj, "Are we gonna keep building it later?"

Jj smiles at the boy and Lettie's heart swells in her chest, "Of course dude, I'm not gonna let you finish the freakin' The Millennium Falcon without me." Donavan smiles, moving on to another toy as Lettie pulls Jj out of the room.

She's surprised when instead of moving to where the rest of the group, Jj tugs Lettie into her bedroom. He closes the door, and turns, pushing Lettie up against it, his hands gripping her hips. He feverishly kisses Lettie, seemingly desperate to feel her lips on his. Her hands automatically go to his hair, lightly tugging at the strands.
