This is the sound of war,
It echoed in her mind,
and it reflected on her bloodied hands.
In which her family's lies
and secrets have gone too far.

It was a thin line, between what is right and what is believed to be right. Sometimes, manipulation infiltrated the mind and it made many people believe that their actions were the right one. Not opening the eyes to the possibility that their ideals were wrong, not even in the slightest. It was a thin line between expecting justice and making it yourself.
There was hesitation from her part, of course there was. Never in her life she would've thought she had to jump off a three story building. But as the pounding increased and the jiggling of the doorknob threatened to take down the door, she didn't have any other option.
Rhena quickly took a good grip at the window frame and started to pass her feet over the other side. She looked back at how much time the furniture could hold when the pounding made her flinch. Her grip almost made her fall, but she quickly took hold of the horizontal frame in the left side of the window. She let out a shaky breath and finished passing both her feet, now, she was hanging from the window.
She didn't want to, no matter much she insisted, but after all, it was human nature. Her eyes looked down, the ground suddenly looking more far away than what it previously was, making her feel dizzy. She let out a frustrated groan and looked up, gathering the courage.
The bolts from the door were not going to hold any longer, and she had a feeling that they were many more coming. So it was now or never.
Ignoring the shaking of her hand, she tried to get her protective mist out as an attempt to make the landing softer. But she didn't have time for that. She released a shaky breath and nodded at herself.
1...come on, just do it....
2...everything is going to be okay....
3...now!
Rhena jumped out the window, the air blowing at her face at a really rapid rate. She felt her stomach drop and her heart beat increase. But just as she was about to drop directly into the ground, she put her hands in front of her body before landing as the red mist was coming out from her hands.
However, it didn't end up as she expected. Even though the mist was protecting her, she had never used it for something like that, so it didn't work as well. Her body slammed against the ground with a thud, although not as strong due to the mist, but the pulsing of the impact was still spreading throughout her body. Her ankle hurt a little, but that didn't stop her, she needed to take a deep breath and walk it off.
There was no time to lose. Rhena stood up, despite feeling a little dizzy, and began to run towards the back of the building, where she knew the path led to the woods and probably to one of their cars. If she got there, she would have more advantage.
