This is the sound of war,
It echoed in her mind,
and it reflected on her bloodied hands.
In which her family's lies
and secrets have gone too far.

There were moments of peace, where people didn't even realize that was probably their last taste. There were moments where the heart was so full, that afterwards, people would do anything to fill the empty hole.
There were moments where people were happy, yet that moment slipped past and no one noticed until it was too far away; some spent the rest of their lives chasing in the wrong path to create a shortcut to find happiness.
While Rhena knew she had those times in her life, yet they seemed so far away, a thousand lives before hers.
Without opening her eyes, she knew she was outside. She could feel the breeze against her bare skin, the rustling of leaves and the trees, the way the sun basked in her.
She was confused for a moment, not remembering what had happened. Then it hit her, and she could clearly see in her mind the faces of her friends before she blacked out. However, she expected to be in her living room, perhaps in her room or even with Damon. She wasn't in either of those places.
For a few seconds she thought she was taken, that someone might have entered the house and she was going to die at the hands of the darkness. But as fast as the thought entered her head, it left. For some reason, fear was something she wasn't feeling in the moment.
She wanted to open her eyes, try to see where she was, but she was nervous. Maybe she wouldn't like the answer. So she stood still, trying hard not to overthink and calm her breath.
But tranquility doesn't always last, not when you're aware someone has a price upon your head. Rhena stood still, making it seem she was still asleep. Someone was there with her.
Despite trying to identify who was there, her tries were in vain. There was something familiar in the air, she couldn't explain the feeling, but it felt like she had been there before. She needed to be strong and have courage, otherwise, her short life would end, again.
Rhena counted to ten, each second passing she channeled all the power and bravery she could. Whatever was going to happen it was meant to be. Now or never.
In a quick second, Rhena rolled to her side and quickly stood up. She tried to reach for the dagger that she always wore in her boot, but to her surprise, she wasn't wearing her boots, or any shoes at all. Her bare feet dug into the soil and grass beneath them.
A frown appeared in her face as she began to inspect her body, only to find herself dressed in a white shirt, along with white loosen pants. Her hair was down, tugged behind her ears. Her hand reached up, but her necklace was not around her neck.
