Actions were louder than words, yet that still didn't help decipher the supernatural creatures in the town to figure out what was happening to Rhena Bekker.

In the span of a few days, it was like the girl they used to know had evaporated and replaced with a malfunctioning copy. If she was quiet before, now she was mute. If she was barely out, now she wouldn't dare to go out the house.

No one was aware of what she was doing, she wouldn't let them. The least they knew the better, Rhena assured herself every time she caught herself missing some company. She couldn't allow any more tragedies or deaths because of her, it had been enough.

No matter what, Rhena stayed quiet. After all, she had suffered in silence for a long time now, a few more days wouldn't hurt. If she survived, everything would change for the better. It was something she was looking forward to.

Despite many questions and visits, no one managed to get a word out of her mouth. She simply smiled and assured them everything was okay, it will be okay. She was never one to ask for help, not even when she was at her lowest, it just didn't feel right.

She couldn't bring herself to tell them about what was about to happen, she didn't want her aunt or anyone from the complex to do something. Sure, they could all defend themselves, but messing with elementals was a different thing. If they somehow got a hold of them, they would use that to their advantage to get her to lose. She wasn't going to take that risk. Even if it meant cutting ties with them, as long as they lived, that would be enough. She had a plan, she was ready; her doom wouldn't end in those streets.

For the last few days, however, the only one who maintained a somewhat normal conversation with her was Stefan. He had been going to her house daily due to her helping restore his mind from the inside. Damon was glad that at least one person was talking to her and keeping her there with them.

That's why it was a rather strange sight for anyone who saw Rhena walking towards a certain family's mansion.

Rhena Bekker stood in front of the mansion, her eyes falling into each inch. It was a beautiful house, more now that she would see it in the daylight. The hood of her jacket fell down, revealing her face.

A sigh escaped her lips and the corner of her lips tugged upwards for a few seconds before falling back into her blank face. She started walking towards the house as her eyes analyzed the surroundings; she didn't usually go into this kind of neighborhood, but this time it was important.
