Third Person's POV:

It was the first time Mingyu saw her smiling. A real one. He slightly  blushed and nod his head in response before leaving her room.

'Why the hell are you blushing Mingyu. She's still the girl who talked down about you.' He forcefully thought to himself. His heart was beating against his chest erratically by the thought of her, but there was something enchanting about the situation.

Something that meant more. Something that he couldn't simply deny.

Somehow, Miyeon felt relieved knowing that she was not hated. She felt guilty deep inside for saying vulgar stuffs about him which evidently turned out to be false. She hadn't felt such unusual feeling for the last 3 years. She couldn't figure out what is was. She had this unavoidable urge to cherish that feeling for the rest of her life.

"Oh my lord what happened to your arm?? Are you alright? Are you hurt? Did Mingyu do something to you?" Jeonghan rushed to his sister with heavy concern and worry. "Relax it's just a small cut. Mingyu dressed it for me." She answered nonchalantly.
Jeonghan sharply exhaled..He was about to murder Mingyu since he assumed he hurt her. He thanked The Lord for not making him an accusant for murder of an teenaged boy.

"Jeonghan?" The younger one spoke. "Yes?" He anticipatedly looked at her. "If something ever happens to me, don't cry too much. Don't live like a heartbroken boy who got dumped by his girlfriend. Just smile and remember our good times together whenever you think of me. Promise?" Her tone was serious. Her eyes landed to the ground, realising how much saddness and longing filled the air.

"Yahh why are you saying such things out of nowhere?" The older was on the verge of crying. He couldn't afford losing his only sister after his mother who died from cancer.

"I don't know. I just feel like I'll die soon." She smiled both sadly and bitterly. She knew she didn't have much time left. But she didn't tell the reason to her brother. Only because it'll make him worry more and he might get in danger protecting her. It's better if she's fighting those monsters on her own.

Jeonghan immediately pulled her into a tight hug. "Geez you are tearing up already. What'll happen to you when I'm gone. People will drown in the sea of your tears." Feeling a warm liquid spread over her shirt, she tried to lightened up the mood but failed miserably. She hugged him back.

The embrace was warm and comforting. The warmth of love of an older brother. She rested her head in his chest enjoying the warmth to it's fullest."Shhh you aren't going anywhere. You aren't dying. You can't leave me. I'll protect you from the world even with the cost of my own life." His voice cracked as he sobbed hard. The atmosphere became heavy yet full of love of the siblings.

Deep inside he knew it's not possible for him alone to protect her from the demons of this world. This vulgar  thought made him cry harder.

Little they knew, their conversion was overheard. He felt like he was stabbed with a knife. As if time had stopped ticking, he froze in his spot.

'I just started to like you now you are saying you are going to die soon? Why are you making things hard for me? I won't let you die ever. I promise.' Joshua comforted himself with words before leaving.

Miyeon's POV:

I woke up really early. I looked at the clock and it was 5:40am. Dragging my legs which felt heavy to the bathroom, I cleaned up and went downstairs. As expected everyone was sleeping like dead people. I would've mistook it for a graveyard if it weren't for the loud snorings that was constantly coming from Dino and Hoshi's room.
