                        Birthday

Mingyu's POV:

The fluffy rays of sun woke me up. Unlike other days, I was exceptionally happy because the first thing I saw was her, sleeping, in my arms. Just a glimpse of her reminded me of a certain thought that how much I wanted her beside me for the rest of my life. The thought of waking up next to her everyday lingered in my mind with a ticklish feeling.

"Good morning love." I whispered to her ear and gently patted her head. "Mhmm good morning." She rubbed her eyes that were half open, yawning like a cat. I didn't even know if cats yawned. I simply made that up. I pecked her lips before pulling out the blanket.

"Wake up lazyass you have to make bre- oh my god ! WHY ARE YOU HERE WITH HIM MIMI? You slept together? As in SLEPT TOGETHER?" Jeonghan barged in, halfway screaming as if he saw a real life ghost and gave us terrified glares.

"Relax, we just slept okay? Sleep Jeonghan. S-L-E-E-P. Nothing else." As expected, she was carefree.

"Oh really? Tell that to the hickeys on your neck." He scoffed, still glaring us like we just robbed a bank and hid the money under his pillow. "These are just mosquito bites. Your house opens a new door to the world of mosquitoes and bugs. Sell this house for good and get a life brother." If lying swiftly without any hesitation was a subject then she'd get a A++ for sure.

"You know that's the most stupid and unconvincing lie of this decade. Should I give you an award for that?" She stuck out her tounge, throwing a huge pillow at him. "Ouch that hurts stop. I guess I've no choice but to believe you. And you. Kim Mingyu." He pointed at me with his middle finger. "Get your butt off right now or else there won't be a tomorrow for it. Everyone's waiting." Lightly grunting, he left with a final glare.

"Why do you have to cook? Why not the others?" She cocked one brow while tying her hair into a messy bun. "Last time they cooked was 4 years ago. That time they broke my most favourite dinner set. They put 2 tablespoon of salt instead of 2 teaspoon of sugar, mistaked apple cider vinegar for honey and not to mention they burned down the entire kitchen." I sighed recalling those dreadful days. I was so glad that I developed a kink for cooking.

"Okay. Okay. They should be banned from even looking at the kitchen.
But I thought Jeonghan cooks well?" She contemplated for a moment, tilting her head. "Well he once put pineapples in milkshake and was about to drink that if I didn't stop him." She gulped holding her stomach, as if she'd throw up any moment.

"I'm never trusting Jeonghan's cooking skills again. He might poison me."

Giggling at her statement, I left for the kitchen while she left for a shower.

I got a notification from the group chat that Jeonghan called upon a meeting in his room. His room was small, so most of us had to squeeze ourselves in and sit on the bare floor in this ice cold. She was right.

He really needs to get a life.

"So today is Miyeon's birthday." Not being aware of the fact earlier, everyone gasped holding their mouths as they realized that they didn't even wish her. I panicked internally. What kind of boyfriend doesn't know his girlfriend's birthday?

"I've thought of giving her a surprise. Do you guys have any ideas?" Jeonghan scratched his temples with his thumb. "What if we plan a underwear prank?" Seungkwan remarked excitedly.

Facepalm moment.

"Choke on holy water you ugly sinner." Joshua blunted with a disgusted face. Being miserably rejected, he pouted puffing his cheeks. He didn't like the fact that his hyung just called him an ugly sinner and wanted him to choke on holy water. Judging by his expressions, I was sure that he wanted to chop off Hong Kong in thousand pieces.
