Wrong move
Mingyu's POV:
Her eyes widened as if they'd pop out from the sockets after I kissed her cheeks. "W-what was t-that?" She kept touching the spot that I kissed.
(Very naUghTy MingMing)
I leaned closer to her ear, "A kiss dummy. My kiss is more expensive and valuable than 1 million won." I whispered, probably sending shivers to her spine. She scoffed at it, but I was too hyped up to give a damn about it.
"So friends now?" I obligatoryly grinned, already knowing the answer.
"Yeah sure." She nodded, distancing herself from me. She was blushing really hard which was unexpected from a girl like her. Considering all the incidents that had occurred so far, she should've punched me in the face for kissing her like that.
But she didn't. She blushed.
Yoon Miyeon freaking blushed.
"Do you want something to drink or eat?" She asked standing up, brushing the invisible dust from her clothes. "Can you cook ramen? You won't burn down the entire house will you?"
"Don't worry. I'll make sure to burn YOU down before the house." She rolled her eyes and left for the kitchen. Judging by her expression, she would never hesitate twice to burn me before the house.
My legs felt numb so I thought of walking around her room.
A small room tour.
I was standing in front the polaroid pictures. Most of the pictures had Jeonghan hyung and Liu Xin in them. The siblings don't seem so close around us but the pictures spoke different. In the pictures, they were hugging each other, his arms wrapped around her shoulders and her's on his waist, Miyeon feeding Jeonghan hyung, him giving her a piggyback ride and many more. They sure are really close, they just don't show it in public. Liu Xin must be her best friend since they hang out together alot after school.
There was another photo frame on her desk. My heart completely melted, like soft butter under the sun, seeing an old family photo. Awweee Jeonghan hyung was so cute back then and so was Miyeon.
Another thing caught my eyes.
A lunar calendar.
The day of the full moon was marked with a note,
'Only 14 days left until full moon.'
Why did she mark the day of the full moon? There's definitely something between her and the moon. But what?
To find out more about it, I had an urge to read her journal beside the calender. I knew it wasn't a good and morally supported thing to go through someone's personal belongings but I needed to find out since she wouldn't tell anyone a single thing.
Hesitating for a minute, I turned the pages of the journal. Suddenly, my eyes got stuck on a specific page.
December 22, 2018
Dear diary,
It's already the end of the year. Still, everything remains the same. A year since I'm being hunted by those merciless monsters. I wonder for how long they'll hunt me. I wonder for how long I can survive like this. Sometimes I wish the moon spirit gave me the ability of immortality instead.
I may not have powers like that but I'm still hanging there. I'm pushing as hard as I can, I'm doing everything I can to live a little longer. But I don't know for how long I can push. Truth is, I'm growing tired. I'm growing tired of struggling.
