                        I love you

Miyeon's POV:

As every second passed with the constant ticking of the clock, I felt my time slowly halting. I was literally standing on the edge of the cliff. The only thing I could do was to watch the people I loved and cared, for the last time. If any miracle doesn't occur, then this really would be the last time I feel their warmth.

Reminiscing our good old days, I admiringly gazed at the sky which was encircled with fairy white clouds. Somehow, it looked sad instead of giving a dreamy vibes. I ran one hand through the soft grass, feeling the tinge of liveliness on the tip of my finger. For the first time in a while, I felt the nature was extremely artistic and pulchritudinous.

Dawdling my time by acknowledging the undying beauty of nature seemed like a highly satisfying thing to do.

The Almighty did such a flawless and wonderful job creating this world.

"What are you doing?" A familar male presence sat beside me. "Just admiring." I reluctantly smiled. He remained quite.

"Hannie oppa?"

With much courtesy, I rested my head on his broad shoulders. "What's wrong with you today? Why're you suddenly calling me oppa? Something good happened right?" Bitterness engulfed me.

Yet, I laughed.

"I guess so. I think I'll finally be able to see mom again." Sounding absolutely inaudible, I sighed against his sweatshirt. "Did you say something?" He expectantly glanced at me. I shook my head and snuggled closer. "You're weird today." He mumbled.

Maybe I was.

"How do you think mom is doing?" I asked with a muffled voice, changing the topic. "I bet she's resting well out there. She must be happy seeing us grow like this. Let's visit her grave sometimes." He caressed my hair.
I nodded in agreement.

Sorry for making a fake promise.

With a lingering thought, I hugged him tightly. He was a bit surprised by my unforseen action but acted accordingly. "Is something wrong Mimi? You can tell me."

"No. Nothing is wrong. Can we stay like this for a moment?"

He simultaneously patted my back. Words I never said to him, threatened to come out. "I love you Jeonghan. Thank you for everything." A small spear of pain ricocheted through my chest. "Are you really okay sis? Why do you sound so sad saying that?"

"I'm completely okay. I just wanted you to know that you're an excellent brother. The best one I could ever ask for and I never once hated you. Sorry for fighting with you and annoying you so much. I'll be a good sister from now on I promise." My voice had become hoarse by then.

He was really a great brother.

Thankfully, he thought that my voice had become shaky due to the cold; not because I was struggling to hold in my tears. "I don't know why you're being so nice and affectionate towards me today but I'm glad anyway. Looks like my little sis is really matured and grown up." He proudly stated.

I'm sorry.

Mingyu planned a sudden date for the two of us. He told that he wanted to spend some time alone with me outside the house. Also that he needed to talk to me about something important and it wasn't possible in the house with everyone's presence. I wondered what is was about.

I was going to plan a date anyway.

Today was the last day afterall.

It was a simple date in the amusement park, unlike those fancy restaurants. Last time we went to Lotte World, it was really awkward between us. So we decided to make this one worth cherishing. We had lots of fun. He was of course nauseous and petrified by most the rides. Being with him and spending time like this made me realize;

Love is beautiful.

I was genuinely happy with him.

I wish it could last forever.

After a long day, we went to the old park near our residence. By that time, it was already dark; only few dim lights flickered. While ambling, he abruptly stopped on his tracks. He faced me and knelt on one knee; apparently taking out a small box out of his pocket. I incredulously stared at him. A ray of shining light reflected when he opened the box.

"This is just a promise ring. I realized that I've been in love with you like crazy. My greed for wanting you and having you all by myself is growing bigger and bigger." He exhaled. "Maybe I'm being selfish but at this point I'm no longer hesitant to tell you this, I love you Yoon Miyeon. Will you be mine forever?"

I stared at the tall figure speechlessly. My lips stayed pursed, as if I forgot how to speak. I had no idea that he wanted me to this level. Seeing my patent shocked expression, he pressed the ring agianst my finger. "There, it fits perfectly." His lips quivered into a delightful smirk. Without any words, I just looked at the exquisite jewellery. It appeared that he knew the answer already, so he grinned while fondling me.

"I love you too,
I want to be with you forever too."

But those words couldn't come out of my mouth. Once single drop of hot salty liquid rolled down my cheeks as I clenched my jaw.

"Let's break up."

----------
The part of Jeonghan and Miyeon might've sounded cringy but aside from her relationship with Mingyu,I wanted to portray the relationship of the siblings as well. I'm legit sacrificing my sleep for this book so don't forget to vote and share your thoughts with me.
