KURT MATTHEW
"kurt?" lumingon ako sa likod ko. handa ko na sanang singhalan sya sa pagtawag sakin ng 'kurt' pero natigilan ako ng makita kung sino iyon.
"ashley?" gulat kong tawag sa kanya. she's my childhood friend. we used to play basketball before.
"woah. i didn't expect to see you here" napatingin sya sa paper bag na hawak ko.
"girlfriend?" nanunudyo ang tingin nya.
"what? no" tanggi ko.
"come with me." hindi na ko nakaangal ng hilahin nya ko. pumasok kami sa isang mamahaling restaurant
"i didn't know that you now preferred to eat at this kind of place" nilapag ko ang paper bag na hawak ko sa gilid ng upuan.
"of course eating in a fancy restaurant makes me feel beautiful" hinawi nya pa ang buhok nya at ngumiti sakin.
"i thought you love street foods? mas gusto mong kainin yun dati. even your clothes, akala ko mas komportable ka sa t-shirt at shorts.." lumungkot naman ang muka nya
"why? don't you want to see me beautiful?" nagpout pa sya
"what? of course i want to. I'm just shocked" she smiled widely to me before calling the waiter
"so.. tell me about your self" she rested her chin on her palm.
"uhmm.. nothing new. how about you? I'm shocked at your transformation" i smiled a little.
"ow. it's nothing. i just want...changes. you know" pati pananalita nya nagbago
"any girlfriend i should know about?"
"how about you. any boyfriend?" I teased her but she just laughed at me.
"why. jealous?" i smiled awkwardly to her
"why would i be?"
"ow. i thought you like me" nawala ang ngisi sa muka ko.
"dude we're best friends" she just smiled at me. hindi na kami nakapagusap nang dumating ang orders namin.
"so, kamusta ka naman?" basag ko sa katahimikan.
"well, I'm now studying law." kumunot ang nuo ko
"i thought you want to be a doctor. why changed it?"
"my parents didn't allow me to take med" ow. her parents stay the same. manipulative
"and you're fine with that?"
