Kylo could sense Rey was worried about going into his meeting as they walked down the corridors to the meeting hall.

"Don't be nervous, Rey, you've been in some of these meetings before, remember?" He asked, rubbing her back comfortingly.

"I guess I do." Rey shrugged. "Will I.... uh... will I be participating in the meeting as well? Like actually making decisions and agreeing and whatnot?"

Kylo frowned in thought.

"Maybe not any time soon, but eventually you will." He said, " for now, you may just learn."

The door to the meeting room and gently pushed Rey in. All of the New Empire's important officers and generals stood and bowed their heads respectfully at the sight of their leader and the girl at his side. Rey was given strange looks by some newer officials who wisely said nothing, wanting to keep their positions and their lives unlike the ones they replaced.

Kylo put his hand on her lower back and led her into the room. They walked around the table and Rey noticed a male officer who seemed to be in his forties was looking at her with a look some older boys back on Pasanna had when they looked at her. It made her feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

Absentmindedly, she moved closer to Kylo's side. He noticed and felt her uneasiness. He thought it was just her being nervous again. He had her sit in the chair at the head of the table and he stood behind her, hands on her shoulders as he began the meeting.

Rey felt the officers' eyes glancing at her time to time, but the one older officer's eyes were on her almost the whole time. She squirmed uncomfortably in her seat for most of the meeting.

"May I ask your plans for this girl you've brought here?" The officer who kept watching her asked.

"This is Rey, she is my counterpart in the Force. Basically my soulmate. I plan for us to be wed on her eighteenth birthday in five years." Kylo said reassuringly squeezing her shoulders, "is there anything else on this subject?" The officers shook their heads, "Good. Let us continue then."

The meeting continued on with discussing the plans for the New Empire and where Kylo and Rey's main castle will be. They chose Naboo, because Rey loved anything green with water. They would get married right where his grandparents had been married all that time ago.

Rey kept noticing the older officer looking at her the whole time. She was really getting uncomfortable and squirmy. She didn't want to have Kylo do anything and make her look even more pathetic, but the staring was getting to be a bit much, so she turned her head and looked up at her obsessive counterpart for help.

He looked down at her and stroked her face and played with her hair with both of his hands and listened to what his council had to say.

What's wrong, sweetheart? You're so on edge. He said through their bond.

Rey didn't want his help. She was too independent and stubborn to want help. She could handle this. She had handled the boys at her old home, so why not one man here?

It's nothing, I'm ok. Rey said back.

Suddenly, a call came in from a computer alerting Kylo of an issue he needed to attend to.

"This meeting is over anyway. Rey, sweetheart, why don't you talk to them and get to know them and they can get to know you?" Kylo suggested.

"Oh...ok. You'll be back to get me right?" Rey asked nervously. She hated sounding pathetic and weak. But that man kept staring at her and she was getting worried now that her overprotective counterpart was leaving her with him.

"Of course I will, you're too important to me to forget.", he smirked, surprising his council.

He squeezed her shoulders reassuringly before he left to take care of the issue.

Some of the officers left to go back to their duties while some stayed and asked questions about Rey and her hobbies and even about her relationship with Kylo. Soon only two officers remained: a female one and the same man who had been eyeing her.

"Well, I think I'm getting more comfortable being with him, but I don't like the thought of having to marry him." Rey explained.

"That's alright. You're still young to understand. You'll change your mind eventually." The female officer said, "Please excuse me, I have to get back to my station."

Then she left Rey with the man.

Rey was very uncomfortable now. She felt his eyes looking her up and down like a hawk. She looked at her hands and played with them in her lap.

"So when did you sleep with him?" The man finally asked.

"W-what?" Rey was shocked that anyone would think that. Kylo may not be the nicest or most considerate person, but he would never pressure anyone into doing something like that. Even her.

"You slept with him. Why else would he be acting like that around you? I see the way he looks at you. You're just his little whore." He smirked.

"No I'm not! We're just counterparts in the Force! I never slept with him and I never want to!" Rey protested, standing up and glaring at him.

He stood up as well.

"Either way you're still his whore and he only loves you for your young body. Maybe you could show me the ways you like to do it with him. Prove it to me you 'aren't' his little plaything." He advanced towards her with a dark look in his eyes.

"No!" Rey growled, backing up.

"So your are his whore then." He smirked wider.

"No I'm not! Stop saying that! I don't even like being here with him!" She snapped.

"Then show me your skills and prove you don't know how to pleasure a man." He backed her up against the wall.

"Get away from me!" She snarled.

"Feisty aren't we?" He gripped her shirt.

"I said get away from me!" She tried again.

"Make me." He placed a hand on her hip and Rey lost it. She kicked him in between the legs and pushed him across the room with the Force.

Once she realized she had knocked him out, she ran out of the room and around a corner where she literally ran into Kylo.

"Kylo!" She gasped, hugging him and crying.

"Rey? What happened?" He asked, picking her up and cuddling with her.

" there was a man in the meeting- and then he-"Rey sniffed, "and he tried to- and touched me- and I threw him away from me and I ran out to find you!" She explained in between gasps for air.

Kylo quickly pieced together what she meant and got very angry.

"Knights, I want you to watch her for a few minutes while I take care of this man." Kylo said, putting Rey down.

"No, no, no! I want to stay with you! You left and he almost-"

"I know, but you know the guys and I trust them. They'll keep you safe." Kylo wiped her tears and left her again.

The Knights reassuringly rubbed her back or placed a hand on her shoulder and told her that they would beat up any guy who looked at her wrong and that she was safe now.

Kylo soon came back and Rey ran to him and he picked her up. She didn't want to feel this helpless but it felt nice and she couldn't help herself. Kylo just enjoyed Rey needing him like this.

"It's alright Rey, I got you." He whispered in her ear. She snuggled into his neck.

"Knights, go to cell 809 on prison block D. Go ahead and have fun with the man there. I would like to finish him off myself later tonight, if you mind." He ordered. The knights nodded and headed off to play around with the man who hurt Rey.

"Come on, sweetheart, we'll get that man's germs off of you and let you rest. You've had a long morning." He murmured into her hair as he smelled it. Rey nodded and snuggled deeper into his shirt.

What's wrong with me? She thought.
