(Blake P.O.V.)

i was in McDonalds waiting for the skip the dishes order that i had to deliver.

once i got the order i went to the parking lot and got in my truck then drove to the address i am supposed to deliver the food to.

when i arrived at the address i got out of my truck then walked to the front door and rung the doorbell. i began to smell the best scent ever. it was my mate. my mate lives here. soon enough a girl with pink hair opened the door. she looked really familiar. when i looked into her eyes i just knew who she was. she was iris my childhood best friend and now my mate.

she seemed i bit dazed. i figured it was just because she smelled my scent. but it seems that's not it maybe she has not come of mating age yet.

i snapped my fingers in front of her face. she snapped out of it then as she pulled her wallet out of her back pocket and handed me money for the food and the delivery plus a tip. she apologized for spacing out.

i decided i was gonna try and flirt with her and show her that i'm interested in her.

no problem pinkie pie cutie. i said. wait oh my god thats was so cringe worthy and embarrassing.

she just gave me a looked that said wtf. and i explained that i was referring to her pink hair.

her lips formed an "o" shape as she realized what i meant and as she said "ohhhhhhh."

we talked a bit you know the normal stuff like exchanging names.

i was about to leave when she and wait until  she is of age to see her but she called me back and started asking a question and talking to me again.

a little bit later in the conversation i found out that she has still not come of mating age but is coming of age late tonight/early morning at 12:00am

i decided that i have to go to this party.

i just stopped to look at her and think for a bit but strangely she didn't even notice. i must have been staring for a good 5 minutes. how could she not notice.

(blake thinking to himself)

i cant belive i've found her i've finally found Iris.

i've been trying to find my childhood best friend for so long that i was about to give up. i never expected to find my best friend who i just found out is also my mate on one of my skip the dishes deliveries.

i could hardly recognize that it was her. it was like the little girl that would follow me around and was loved by everyone. was no longer there. this girl looked like she had been through hell and back and i find it really amazing and badass sure i loved my childhood best friend as she was but i don't really mind the new iris well not really new. she has probably been like this a long time. but i love the new her. i love her dark pink hair, how her under-eyeliner brings out her bright blue eyes, her rosy pink kissable lips, and how she seems so confident in front of me even in a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.

the iris that i just spoke to is a different person the way she stands is frail defeated and tired. she has bruises on her that haven't completely disappeared yet. wait. BRUISES! why the hell does my mate have bruises!?

Everything must have started going downhill for iris after her mom passed and after my parents shipped me off to leadership academy where alphas, betas, deltas, and gammas learn their roles in their packs. i just got out of the academy a 2 years ago
Hoe have I not ran into her until now.

iris and i said our goodbyes and i got in my truck and left.

i went straight to a to my buddie's place calling him on the way telling him i found my mate and that i needed a charm that was in the shape 9f a heart he said he had just the thing. but when i got there and seen the charm i just wanted to hit him i asked for a heart and this doofus gave me half a broken black heart. i don't really care that its black its the broken part that pissed me off. i took the charm anyway and thanked him. then left

i then went to a flower shop which was surprizingly still open and bought some white roses.

after i bought the roses i got in my truck and went back to her house and rung the doorbell

........

again.
