"The party is a good idea, Henry. There will be so many marriage prospects our daughter can choose from." Doris said with a smile as she sat with her husband in the sofa.

"That won't be a good idea to try and hook your daughter up with a man on her birthday. She wouldn't like it." Henry warned as he watched TV.

Doris sighed. "This is the only way, Henry. If she wouldn't get married, I'll have to find her a man."

Henry shook his head. "Enough of this, Doris. Let her be." He looked at her.

"You know time is not on our side. The earlier, the better." Doris said.

"Do whatever you want. If she gets mad at you, that'd be your problem." He sighed again, "Can I watch the TV now?"

Doris rolled her eyes at him.
She had to do a matchmaking as soon as possible. She had to find Laura a man. She smiled to herself.

"Are you ready, Andy?" Ruby called from the bathroom.

Standing in the mirror, Andy brushed his hair. "Almost, what's taking you so long in there?"

She was quiet.

"You want me to come and drag?" He asked.

"That wouldn't be a bad idea." She replied.

He heard the door knob turn and she came out of the bathroom in a towel.

"We're getting late." She said as she reached for her lotion.

"Are you blaming me for that?" He asked her.

"Not gonna argue with you right now. I need to hurry." She rushed as she smeared the lotion on her skin.

"You're going to wear this." Coming from the closet, he showed her a dress he'd picked.

"Andy?" She arched an eyebrow at him, "Not again."

"What's wrong with this? It's beautiful." He grinned at her.

Sighing, she took the dress from him and shrugged, "It's okay." She said after checking the dress.

"I told you." He said.

Ruby, looking at him chuckled.

Ruby and Andy soon arrived at Laura's house for her birthday. The place was booming just as Laura wanted it to be.

Walking with arms around each other, they greeted guests and shook hands with the few the knew.

"This place is lively." Andy commented.

"Just like Laura." Ruby laughed. "I wanna know how she convinced her parents to host this kind of party knowing they were going to invite dignitaries."

Andy chuckled. "She sure gets what she wants."

"They love her." Ruby sighed.

"And there she is." Andy said, gesturing with his head at Laura who was approaching them with a smile.

"Well, hello." She remarked," cutest couple ever."

Ruby hugged her." Happy birthday, honey."

"Thank you." She smiled.

"We brought along a gift." Andy said as he handed her a present.

"Awww, that's so thoughtful." She gave him an affectionate smile as she took the gift from him.
