Chapter Thirteen

(Ruby)

Deal was done!

Ruby was so happy as they shook hands with the men, smiles on their faces.

"Thank you very much." Damien said to them.

"It's a pleasure doing business with you." One of them replied.

They had booked their flights which were scheduled the next morning. The same day, Ruby and Damien would leave.

Night came too soon and they'd gone to their rooms to sleep.
Ruby after talking with Andy and asking Laura how she was doing, couldn't sleep and decided to watch some movies on her laptop.

Staying up late, she continued to watch the movie till she heard a knock on her door.

"Ruby...?"

She heard Damien's soft voice. Startled.

What was he doing at her door by that time of the night? It was almost midnight, she concluded after glancing at her watch.

She stood up to the door, pausing the movie. She hesitated for a while before opening the door.

"Hey, you need something?" She asked.

Damien glanced at her as his eyes gazed at her body in her lacy night wear.
He could bet she wore nothing beneath. He smiled at her, nervously. "I can't sleep."

She looked at him. "Well, me neither." She said, "Care to watch a movie with me?"

He liked that, only it was not movies that were on his mind at the moment.

Having to think Ruby was right in the room sleeping next to his was something he couldn't get out of his head. It didn't make him sleep. He had to be dragged by his desires to come and wake her up. It was just crazy how he stood by her door in the middle of the night.

"Sure." He said. He just couldn't help it. He thought.

She opened the door wider for him to get in.

"Thanks." He said once he was inside.

The room was dark as they entered. The only light illuminated from her laptop. She'd probably turned off the lights. He noticed.

She sat on the bed and urged him to do so too.
"I don't know why I let you in, but I guess you're not going to try anything funny?"

Damien chuckled. "I won't."

"Great." She forced a smile. She drew his attention to the laptop.

They watched the movie together and she suddenly felt uncomfortable. His nearness was making her thoughts run wild. She could feel the heat their bodies were making and without him even touching her, her body was already tingling.
Then she suddenly felt Damien's fingers brush her thighs and she was startled. She couldn't pull away or brush it off when it felt so good with his hands on her body.

It was obvious Damien felt the same way. She tried to ignore the tingling feeling between her legs and focus on the movie but it was hard to.

"Damien..." She said, almost moaning. Damn, she'd intended that to come out as a warning.

She turned to look at him and the look he gave her made her shudder. The light from the laptop made it possible to see how intently he looked at her.

He smiled as he cupped her face with his hand. "I just want to kiss you." He said in a deep husky voice.

No, she shouldn't. She had to push him away. She had send him out of her room. She wanted to do all those, but her body resisted.
Her mind kept reminding her about Andy, but her stubborn feelings gave in to his touches.
