(Laura)

"I'm thinking of getting myself a house. Can you look up at some at your place?" Laura asked Ruby.

"Don't be silly, Laura. There's nothing wrong your mom telling you to get married. You know how moms are. It's normal." Ruby said as she looked at Laura who sat in front of her desk.

"It's not normal, it's annoying." Laura rolled her eyes. "I want to get out of that place."

"That's gonna break your mom's heart. She wouldn't be pleased to see you leave the house because of her."

"That'd be her punishment for bossing and nagging at me every time." Laura declared.

Ruby scoffed and shook her head, "You're not thinking straight."

Laura shot her a glare, "I'm very okay." She nodded.

"Just hurry up in search for your husband. The clock is ticking." Ruby teased.

Laura got up and headed for the door. "That ain't funny."

Ruby chuckled.

(Ruby)

What did Damien want by calling her to his office the third time? She'd sent him the files and the details he'd requested, what again? She groaned as she knocked on the door.

He told her to enter.

"Mr. Owusu?" She said once inside.

"Damien." He looked up at her with a smile.

"Damien..." She said after a sigh. "You called me."

"Yep, I'd like you to take these files back and rework on them. I'm not pleased with the designs." He said as he handed her the files.

"But these are the..." She was saying when he cocked her an eyebrow. She paused and exasperated she clenched her fists to calm herself.

"Take them back." He said. "And get me a cup of coffee."

"I'd ask someone to get you that." She said, annoyed as she gripped the files.

She was heading for the door when he said"No, I want you to do that. I'll be waiting for my coffee."

She wanted to growl at him but she held her composure and said, "Yes, Damien."

He smiled, "Don't keep me waiting, Ruby."

Oh, he was so annoying! She turned the door knob and left the office, still clenching her fists.

    ************

"Here." Ruby set the coffee on the table and was leaving when he called after her.

"What again, Damien? Ain't you tired of torturing my life?" She scowled at him.

Nonchalant, he stood from the chair and walked to her. Smiling at her. "No, I'm not." He said.

"What do you want from me?" She asked him.

"I want you. I want to kiss you. I want to touch you, and do all those things you've been dreaming of me doing to you." He said softly, his eyes meeting hers.

She scoffed. "You're so full of yourself, aren't you? I don't want your kiss, not your touch and neither do I think about you." She told him.

"Why are you lying?" He said as he pinned her against the door.

"Stay away from me, Damien." She said, warningly.

"Are you sure, you want me to do that?" He asked in a deep husky voice as he traced her lips with his thumb.

Her heart was thumping so hard against her chest and vulnerable to push him away, she watched as he brought his lips closer to hers.

She held her breath as she listened to her heart beat. His mouth moving to her ears. She gulped and felt him nibble on her earlobe softly.

"Are you sure you don't want me to kiss you?" He whispered.

Shuddering, she breathed. "N-no, I don't."

He chuckled and lifted her chin.

She looked at him.

Looking deeply into her brown eyes, "The look in your eyes are telling me otherwise, Rousseau." He said, amused.

She licked her lips unconsciously and tried to look away. "This is an assault, Damien."

He didn't mind her and craftly seized her lips in a deep kiss, his hands on both sides of her face. Kissing her slowly, his tongue intertwined with hers and he stroked it, kissing her deeper.

He suddenly pulled away from her. Leaving her struggling to catch her breath.

"You liked that?" He asked with a smirk.

She pushed him away and opened the door.

She quickly stormed out.

Damien smiled. Licking the taste of her on his lips. Torturing her like that was fun to him. Who ever thought he'd get to kiss Ruby? He chuckled.

In her office, Ruby was still beating herself up for what had happened. How could she allow another man to touch her?

Her head on the desk, she sighed. That shouldn't have happened. She told herself repeatedly. It wasn't fair to Andy. She thought and wondered why she couldn't resist Damien. What kind of effect did he have on her?
