(Y/N) had spent all night preparing food. Well, attempting to prepare would be more accurate. A few times she nearly burned down the school's kitchen. Too many things were being turned over and over in her mind for her to focus on much. After many, many failed attempts, she threw in the towel. There was only one thing that came out perfectly, so she packed that away into a little basket and cleaned up the kitchen before school began. Throughout the day, as classes came and went, she grabbed a few things here and there that students seemed like they weren't going to eat and discreetly tucked them into her basket.

Well, what really happened was the small, pink, rabbit-like creatures grabbing what looked best for her in exchange for a rather large bag of candy (and the promise of more) while she was off doing other things, but that's besides the point.

While some students wondered if they had counted wrong, a blonde girl with cool blue eyes subtly watched the little creatures as they grabbed anything out of the way. She wanted to investigate what was in the little basket they brought it all to as this was extremely unnatural behavior even for the supernatural creatures, but she was a little preoccupied with her own food. Later. I'll have to figure it out later, she thought to herself. She kept the mischievous creatures away from her own creations with a few steely glares, something she was fairly experienced in doing. While she left nothing for them to take to the basket, she left a few little candies for them. The girl happened to have a soft spot for the more or less innocent supernaturals.

The girl was the last out of the room when her class dispersed. She put a small sticker on the inside of the basket's handle, then she cast a suspicious eye upon it. The 'rabbits' sat on top of it while the munched on the candies they'd been gifted, unaware of the cold, threatening gaze they happened to be in the middle of. She left without another word.

Amane glanced around the hall to be sure it was empty, and he quickly pushed open the door to the girls bathroom and closed the door quietly behind him. He used his sleeve to wipe away the sweat from his brow and let out a sigh. After a few moments, he realized he was alone in the bathroom and Hanako was nowhere to be seen.

"Hanako-san? Are you there?" He kept his voice low, wary of anyone that might pass by. He walked closer to her stall and glanced out of the window to see the courtyard below. He opened the stall door slowly. He didn't see her there either, only a small pink. . . rabbit? It was sitting on the top of the toilet, and he looked at it quizzically. It was munching on a piece of candy from a small pile next to it, and it waved at him with one of its ears.

"Hi! Do you want one?" Its voice was tiny and cute. Amane decided it wasn't a rabbit. He nodded at it and it offered a piece to him. He was skeptical, but took it anyways and popped it in his mouth with a smile. It had been a while since he had a sweet.

"Thank you. By the way, have you seen Hanako-san? She told me to meet her here today and I'm a little late, but I came as soon as I could," he asked it, fiddling with his bandages. The boy noticed then that they were coming undone, but didn't have the chance to try and fix it before the candy-loving creature in front of him responded.

"She's right there," it said, pointing above him. He looked up, and jumped when he saw (Y/N)'s face looking down at him. She grinned from ear to ear, flipped mid-air and landed in front of him with an over-exaggerated bow.

"Hanako-san, at your service." She crossed her arms. "Not that I should be, didn't I tell you first thing after school? And if you were going to be late anyways you could at least keep these on properly." She got closer and grabbed his arm, inspecting the bandages and carefully rewrapping them over the bruises. He scoffed and looked away.

"You know I don't really care about those, right? I don't have a choice, Tsuchigomori-sensei makes me go to his class every day after school so he can wrap up my arms." She stopped wrapping his arms back up for a moment, but sighed and finished it up, carefully tying the knot so it wouldn't press uncomfortably against the bruises.

"Tsuchigomori-sensei? Why do you have a problem with it? I know he doesn't really like to show it, but Tsu-sensei really does care for his students, I've seen it for myself." She moved over to his other arm, pausing for a moment when she saw how bad it looked, then continued. "Even if you don't like it though, it's still good to be cared for. I don't know why this would happen to you, you seem nice enough to me, but there's nothing wrong with getting it patched up." A certain sadness tainted her words and her eyes softened. He looked at her, but this time she was the one who wouldn't meet his gaze. They were silent for a few more moments as (Y/N) finished rewrapping the bandages.

"There, good as new," (Y/N) said, the moment gone and her face bright once more. She grabbed his hand, and led him out of the stall in front of the window. The light of the sun fell on them both, and she grabbed his other hand too. Amane realized that she looked even prettier in this light and he looked away, slightly red at the thought.

"So, are you ready to go?" He saw the hakujoudai flying circles around them, slowing getting faster and faster. He took in a deep breath and nodded. She smiled at him.

"Good, now close your eyes and don't let go."

Tadaa! Chapter 4 is complete, later than I wanted to have it done, but at least it's done I guess. Also, I'm trying to stay consistent with how many words are in each chapter so I don't go overboard once then just put in crap next, so I'm sorry there's not much happening in the past few chapters. Thank you guys for the comments and votes and sticking around anyway though!

See you all next time!

Edit:
SO THIS APPARENTLY DIDN'T GET PUBLISHED AND I UPLOADED 2 CHAPTERS AHEAD I AM SO SORRY. I was just reviewing what I've done and it said this was still a draft even though I swear I published this and I'm sorry to anyone who has to read this out of order now, but the chapters ahead of this should make more sense now!
