Amane walked into the third floor girls bathroom with a few cleaning supplies, and was greeted by a cheery spirit.

(Y/N) was in her usual spot on the sill when he walked in. She was already smiling, looking out of the window and thinking of who knows what, but her smile became even brighter when she had faced him. Amane felt himself go a little red when he realized it. "Hey Amane, hear anything new today?" she asked him. Her head tilted when Amane seemed startled with the question.

Really, he had jumped because he may or may not have been admiring her and thought he had been caught.

The ghost moved closer to him. "Are you ok? I just wanted to know if you've heard any new rumors. Did something bad happen?" She glanced to his bandages, but they didn't seem any worse than usual. The boy was quickly shaking his head with bright red cheeks.

"N-no, nothing's wrong," he said, not meeting her gaze. "I didn't hear any new rumors, but the one about The Creation Myth is popping up more and more. A lot of people are saying that they went to the art room, had an amazing dream, and woke up at home."

(Y/N) looked like she was in deep thought for a moment. "Well, she's getting more powerful the more her rumor circulates." She looked up with her signature smile of mischief. "I think it's time that we meet The Creation Myth and get her on our side, what do you think?"

"I think we should've done it earlier. What's the point in making her stronger before we talk to her?"

She giggled and patted the boy's head. He responded with a pout and a blush. "Amane, Amane, you have much to learn! We supernaturals," she gestured to herself, "pay attention to whoever is spreading our rumors. By having you and Tsukasa spread it around as much as you can, that's shown her that we have no ill intent to her. That's extremely important when approaching someone you know very little about."

"But what if she doesn't side with us? Then she's just powerful and pissed off at us," he responded adamantly. (Y/N) raised an eyebrow at his vocabulary. He looks pretty pissed off himself if you ask me.

"If that happens, she's nothing I can't handle. A single girl who probably barely knows how to use all the power she just got wouldn't be hard to take care of." Amane looked at her with a sudden worry in his eyes and his tone.

"Are you saying you could just kill her like it was nothing? You can't hurt her if that happens, it's wrong!" His voice rose, and she rushed to quiet him down.

"That's not at all what I mean, now be quiet before a teacher hears you! I have no intention of harming her at all, but you have to understand a couple of things." She held up a finger. "First, I always plan for the worst, or at least the worst I can think of. It's very unlikely, given what we know, that she's going to just turn and attack like that. But if it comes down to it," she held up another finger, "she's a ghost just like me. She's already dead and she can't die again. Her soul will just move to the far shore entirely. It won't be the same as an exorcism, where the spirit is shredded and the pieces are too weak to remain. I'm not cruel, contrary to popular belief." She looked into Amane's amber eyes, and she saw that the concern never left them. (Y/N) wanted to tell him something a little more uplifting, but she didn't want to give him anything but the truth either. Somewhere in herself, she felt a cold pang of sorrow that she wasn't able to make him smile just then.

"Please promise me you won't hurt her, Hana-chan. People don't deserve to be hurt, no matter what." His conviction struck her, even made her feel guilt from her past actions. She looked away from him.

"Even if it means she sends me to the far shore?" she asked. Amane's eyes widened at her words that were tainted with bitter sadness. She was looking at one of the walls with a blank expression. He frantically searched for something to say in response, but he couldn't manage to find the right words.
