Chapter Twenty-One

Todoroki's POV:

My neck hurts so much. I blink and look around. Me and Bakugo fell asleep sitting down. My head leaned forward into his shoulder, and his head back on mine. Damn, I bet he's gonna have a neck cramp. My legs are still around him too.

I hear the harsh winds are still going outside. How are we going to eat? I don't think we can go outside right now and I'm freakin hungry. Wait, I brought some trail mix. Just a snack just in case I wanted some. I don't even know the time, but it's definitely day outside. It's dark as hell, so it might be really early. It could also be that it's just really cloudy, but I don't know.

Bakugo groans and inhales sharply as he tries to lift his head up from my shoulder. "Hey careful," I say. He freaks out and lifts his head quickly. He probably didn't know I was awake. He groans in pain because of his neck and I start massaging the back of it. He winces a few times before relaxing and humming in approval. "Mm, that feels good," he says. "How are you?" He shrugs. "I don't know. I don't feel like shit, but I'm not happy. I'm just, awake," he says. I nod and frown. "Maybe when you take your meds, it will be better?" "I don't know, maybe," he says as I continue massaging his neck. I start working on his shoulders. They're really tense.

He groans and laughs a bit. "You really know what you're doing," he says. I shrug, "Yeah, I guess." "It feels great."

I laugh and continue working my magic. I try working out the knot in his shoulder and he sighs heavily. "I want ice cream." I laugh and he huffs. "Why are you laughing at me? I just want ice cream," he pouts. "We'll see if the winds are good enough to walk through. If they are, we'll run to the main cabin and get some food first. Then you can get some ice cream," I say. He groans and crosses his arms. "Fine." I smile at his childlike behavior before saying, "But let me just work out this knot you have. You're really tense." He nods in approval. "Yeah, my shoulders, neck, and back usually hurt all the time," he says.

I purse my lips. Maybe I'll massage his back and the rest when we get back. "I'll work on those after we eat, yeah?" "I- okay," he says, giving in. He seemed hesitant at first.

Once I'm done with that shoulder I tap him and he stands up quickly. He rotates it and smiles. "Wow it feels great," he says, surprised. I smile and take a small bow. "Why thank you," I say formally. He rolls his eyes at me and smiles. "You look cute," I tell him. That pink penguin onsie is so cute and it's pretty big on him. "Put on the hoodie," I tell him. He gets a little flustered at the compliment, but puts up the hoodie. It has the eyes and the little beak. He looks a bit angry which makes this whole situation cuter.

"Let me get a picture," I say, getting my phone. He goes to protest, but shuts his mouth when I smile at him. He gets a bit red, but he frowns, looking away while crossing his arms. I quickly get to my camera and snap a photo of him like that. He turns quickly. "Hey! I wasn't ready." "Okay, fine. I'll take another," I say, lifting my phone to snap another photo. He just stands up straight, looking awkward. I roll my eyes as a smile creeps up my face. "Tch, what am I supposed to do?"

"I don't know, smile! Throw a peace sign. Throw the finger. Anything except that awkward stance you're in," I laugh. He frowns and throws the finger at me. I quickly snap the photo and he groans. "That wasn't for the picture," he says. I shrug. "Too bad. You suck at pictures. Well, when you know there's pictures being taken, you suck. But, when you have no idea, ah it's so cute," I tell him. "Shut up! I'm a manly guy! Manly guys aren't cute," he complains. I raise my eyebrows at him. He's in a pink penguin costume.
