Chapter Forty-Five

Todoroki's POV:

I wake up at 3 am after falling asleep with Bakugo. He took care of me yesterday and I think that helped him just as much as it helped me. But, there's a problem.

I want ice cream.

I turn over to see Bakugo sleeping peacefully with Oroka on his chest. When she hears me move, she stirs a bit. I really want ice cream, but I don't wanna wake Katsuki up. Maybe he'd want some too? "Psst," I whisper. I poke his cheek and he frowns slightly. Maybe I can write on his face. I reach over him, and grab a marker on the drawers. I write on his forehead 'Shoto's'. Then on his cheek, I draw a few hearts here and there. There's like 2 on the right one with a star. Then on his other cheek, I draw three hearts with a smiley face.

He moves a bit here and there, also almost waking up Oroka, but she just stays asleep. "Babe," I whisper, this time a bit louder as I put the marker in my pocket. I can't have him knowing I wrote on him just yet. "Bakugo," I try again and he grunts. He breathes in and sighs. "What?" He asks, voice raspy. "I want ice cream."

He opens his eyes and glares at me. "You woke me up in the middle of the night because you want ice cream?" He deadpans. I pout. "Yes." He whines and covers his face with his hands. "We'll just have some for breakfast," he tries. "But I want some right now. Go with me," I tell him. "Shoooo. Why must you do this now?"

I shrug. "I just woke up. Then I wanted ice cream. Simple as that. Now come on," I say, shaking him. Oroka finally wakes up with an annoyed 'meow'. "See? You woke her up and now she's grumpy."

"She's not the only grumpy one," I tell him, poking one of the hearts on his cheek. "Don't poke my cheek," he pouts. "You're just in a bad mood and I'll get sad if you don't get ice cream with me. I want ice cream."

"And I want sleep."

I sigh dramatically and he laughs. "Alright. Let's go you big baby." He actually said yes! Ahh! I smile widely and he takes Oroka off of his chest. She meows in disapproval, but just walks to her water bowl with her stubby little feet and her smushed little face. "Are you just gonna lie there?" Bakugo asks. I look up and shake my head before getting up and following him. We leave his room and I grab his hand which he squeezes. "You're lucky I love you," he mumbles. "I sure am," I agree.

We walk down the stairs, not really fans of the elevator. It's too slow. When we get to the kitchen, we see that no one is there. I mean, obviously. It's 3 am. "Tch, what time is it?" He asks me. I shrug and say, "3 something." He scoffs. "You're crazy, you know that?" He asks as he goes to get the tub of ice cream from the freezer. It's the mixed one that everyone decided on. Usually everyone chooses their own, but for some reason, everyone wanted this type this time around.

"So, what woke you up?" He asks worriedly. "Are you still worried about me?" He adds. "Well, uh. Okay, I'm still worried about you, I always will be. I love you and I want you to be safe at all times. I know that's not possible, but it's something that I want for you. That's not what woke me up, though. I just woke up. No nightmares or anything. I was just awake." He nods. "You're so cheesy." I shrug with a smile. "Only for you."

He rolls his eyes and passes me a bowl. He serves himself some, opting for more chocolate. I see that he served me more of strawberry. I do like the strawberry one better. "Thank you," I say. He yawns and smiles at me. "Anything for you."

"And I'm the cheesy one."

Suddenly there's footsteps, and we both jump in surprise. I go around the counter and step in front of Katsuki who takes my hand and pulls me back with him as he backs up. Kaminari steps into view and we both sigh in relief as Kaminari's eyes widen. "Hey guys," he smiles and rushes over to us. "Didn't think you two would be up right now," he states. "Yeah, well, this idiot," Katsuki says, referring to me, "wanted ice cream and wouldn't shut up about it." Kaminari looks at Bakugo's face and Bakugo frowns. Oh, I forgot about the writing.
