Chapter Thirty-Four

Todoroki's POV:

Bakugo didn't finish his list yesterday, he stopped halfway through and told us he was tired. I didn't have to go home and neither did Mr. Aizawa, so we both stayed the night. I called my sister to let her know, and she said it was okay.

Kaminari is coming today so that we could swap. Mr. Aizawa is also going to school, so Mic is staying with Bakugo today. There's still 2 hours before school, but I have to go home to get ready in a bit. I'm just waiting for Kaminari to get here so all three of us can talk and then Mr. Aizawa will drop me off at home, go home to get ready, and then come back for me so that we can head to school together.

"Mic is gonna be here when the police come and question you, okay?" Bakugo looks at Mr. Aizawa and nods. "But you'll come back?" He asks. "Of course I will." Bakugo just nods again, a hesitant look in his eye.

"Just rest, answer whatever they still need, and eat. You need to be healthy so that Recovery Girl can heal you quickly. I don't want you in pain or all bruised up for long," Mr. Aizawa pleads. "I will, I promise," Bakugo consoles. "You want me to bring you something?" I ask Bakugo.

"Uh," he stays quiet for a second, but then he just shakes his head. I know he did. "No, I'm okay," he decides. "Tch, if you say so," I say. I'll buy him some flowers and a stuffed animal. Maybe two. Or three. Who knows? I'll come by after I drop the cat off at home. I'll set things up for the cat, buy the stuffed animals and flowers, and then come here to talk with him about class. I'm sure he'd like it. "Hey, is it alright if I come by after class?" I ask him. He turns and looks up at me. "Yeah," he whispers happily. I smile and he turns away quickly.

There's a knock on the door before it opens, so I turn to see who it is. Of course, it Kaminari, so I smile at him and wave. "Hi," I greet. He frowns. "Why so formal? Just give me fist bump or a peace sign," Kaminari sighs heavily. Then he stands up straight and sticks his fist out, waiting for a fist bump.

I smile and put a peace sign on his fist bump. Like a snail. I saw it on Instagram once, so I thought it'd be cool to try it. Once I put the peace sign on his fist, it makes the snail. I really don't think I'm a humor guy, but this'll be funny. "Snail," I laugh out lightly. Kaminari raises his eyebrows before bursting out into a fit of laughter. I smile and join him in the laughing fit. "Dude, you just giggled," Kaminari wheezes out. I laugh harder and behind me, I hear a stifled laugh. I turn around quickly to see Bakugo laughing at me. I gasp, still laughing slightly. "Are you laughing at me? How rude," I try to whine, but it doesn't work with my laughing.

It ends up sounding like a giggle again and I silently curse myself while thinking that it sounded ridiculous. Bakugo laughs harder and my stomach starts hurting from laughing like this. "S-stop. Ok-okay my stomach h-hurts so much," I manage to laugh. I take a deep breath of air but it's so broken and high pitched, like a wheeze. I sound seriously weird.

"Halfie, you need to st-stop. Seriously," Bakugo begs, close to tears from laughing so hard. I try taking a deep breath and calming myself down. A minute and a few chuckles later, we've all calmed down. "Jeez, I almost ran out of air," Kaminari sighs, holding his hand over his chest with a small smile still on his face.

We need to talk to him. He's acting as if he has no problems, but I know he does. "Okay," I say, sitting on the edge of Bakugo's bed slightly. I pat the space next to me and look at Kaminari. "It's talking time," I say. He looks up, behind me and I turn around to look at Mr. Aizawa. I kind of forgot he was in here until just now. "Uh, Sensei can you leave us alone for a minute?" I ask. He nods. "Yeah, I need to go find Mic anyway," he says. "Let me know when I can come back so that I can say goodbye," he waves right before leaving the room.

I turn to Kaminari and he sighs. "Fine, I'll talk. Only cause it really helps me," he says. Then he turns to Bakugo. "Man, I was really worried about you, I could barely sleep. You really scared me. I thought yo-" He takes in a shaky breath and continues, "I thought you were gonna die for a second."
