It was Christmas Eve, one of the many favorite days from Violet. She didn't get anything quite done today, she just skated in the huge frozen lake a couple of blocks from her house

The workers from the diner were possibly worried and happy for her that she wasn't spending much time in the diner, but rather spending time with his new close friend Dylan. She did like spending time with him, and she finally realized there's plenty of stuff to do, other than just sitting in a booth for a whole day

Violet would still go to the diner, but she would leave a little earlier than normal

Besides skating, Violet also welcomed her family members to her house; her uncles, aunts, cousins, including her most beloved grandparents. She then stopped skating and went to spend some time with her family

Dylan was spending the whole day curled up in a blanket. Besides being cold outside, Dylan didn't feel like getting something done today. It was Christmas Eve! Who could blame him!

Other than that, he did plan on doing one thing. Meeting up with Violet to give her a gift he had bought for her. It was a necklace with Violet's name on it. She saw it in a shop when they were walking downtown a few weeks back. So Dylan set his mind and bought it

A few hours later, Dylan was putting on his winter gear, ready to walk to Violet's house. He was just going to give her the gift, considering she could've been occupied with her family being in town and him with his own

He knocked on the door, then hearing a voice saying "I'll get it". When the door was opened, he was happy to see a familiar face

"Hey, Dylan! Happy Christmas Eve!" Violet said and hugged him "Do you want to come in?" she opened the door further inviting him

"No, it's okay. I just wanted to give you something" Dylan said showing her the small box he brought along with him "I know it's not Christmas yet, but I'll be busy tomorrow, so here you go" he handed her the box

"Oh my god, you remembered!" She chimed looking at the necklace "Dylan, you don't know how much I appreciate this" she said and gave him a hug

"I kind of got you something too, but this puts mine into shame" she added as she reached for a letter in the table beside her "I know it's not much, but I didn't know what to get you"

Inside the letter were some beautiful words, including a hockey keychain and the pics from the photo booth they took

"This is so nice! Thank you, Vi!" Dylan chimed and gave her a hug

"I hope you enjoy your Christmas, but I have to go. I'll catch up with you, okay?" He said and started walking back to his house, Leaving a heart warmed Violet in the entrance of her house

I'm also very sorry of what's happening in the US now, specially in D.C, New York, LA, and all those cities. Justice is yet to be served, and the authorities aren't listening
>:v
