MA? I'M HOME! ❞ I exclaim as I walk in, dusting off my shoes before stepping onto the floor. The newly waxed surface greeted me and I know my mom would show me no mercy if I were to step on that floor with dirty shoes.

My mom jogged over to me with her gloves on and an apron tied around her, "Hi Benji!" she welcomed me as she kissed my cheek. I smiled and cautiously walked around the house. My mom's name is Katie, and my dad's name is Anthony.

"Oh, you're home?" Alexis said in a playful tone. Alexis is two years older than me, making her 16. Jason is the oldest, him being 17. I'm the baby of the family, I've always wanted a younger sibling but it never happened, Sadly.

"I know you missed me." I joked.

She playfully gagged then gave me a hug, "Just a little bit. By the way, Jase is in his room,"

I hummed and walked over to the last door down the hallway, I lightly knocked on it and he opened it. The strong smell of his cologne filled my nose and I sniffled. "Benji! I missed you!" He exclaimed, pulling me in for a hug.

You can see the vast difference between Jason and Alexis. One is mean, one is meaner. I'm sure you can figure out who's who. I slumped down on his bed and he sat back down on his chair, writing something into a notebook.

Me being the curious person I am, I asked him, "What are you writing?" He stayed quiet for a moment, he's probably finishing up a sentence. He dropped his pen and leaned back, "Nothing, Just notes for school."

I was a little uninterested with it, So I bobbed my head and pulled out one of his comics to read. He formed some type of collection with all of them, Once in a while, I'd take two or three of them to read on my own time.

I didn't have a particular favorite though, But I really enjoy reading them. "How'd your day go?" Jason asked me. I shrugged my shoulders, "Same old, same old." After remembering what happened with Kae, I sprung up.

"Man, I bumped into this girl and I felt so bad Jase," I muttered as I replayed the moment in my head. I gaze down in embarrassment and he let out a chuckle.

"Shit happens, Did you apologize at least?"

"Yeah, Of course, I did, Then she asked if I wanted to pet her dog. Which you know I can't resist."

"I know, Benji. I know. Do you know this girl?"

Now that I think about it, I actually haven't really seen her around. She must be attending another school or something because I haven't seen her. I shook my head as a response.

"She's short kinda, Black hair, brown eyes, Her name's Kaela."

He hummed as he jotted something down, "Kaela. That's a cute name."

"Yeah, Cute name for a cute girl," I mumbled quietly to myself. "What was that Benji?" Jason questioned.

I stood up and took a few of Jase's comics as I headed to the door, "Nothing, I'll give these back to you when I finish them."

He nodded his head and glanced up at me with a smile, "There's no need to rush, Soon these will all be yours."

I grinned as I clutched the books close to me, "Thanks Jase, Good night!" I say as I closed his door and went into my room. I walk in and the smell of fresh laundry greeted me. I fixed my room before I left for the sandlot so seeing it all cleaned up was a sight for sore eyes.

I was a little dusty from the field today so I decided to take a quick shower. I didn't remember much after that besides knocking out, I was dead tired.
