TODAY WAS JUST like every other day, I got up, Got ready, Ate breakfast then off to the sandlot I go. Nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was going smoothly as it could possibly be.

As usual, I sat in the dugout and watched the guys all play their never-ending game that went on as long as I could remember.

Benny foul tipped the ball and it rolled towards the dugout, I got up and threw it back to Ham, Benny held up a thumbs up and flashed a smile that always lightens up the mood.

Suddenly, Before Denunez can throw his next pitch, Squints exclaimed something and everyone's eyes turned to the back entrance.

A group of guys on bikes came rolling towards the field. I walk out of the dugout and followed everyone. They had leather jackets on, actually, they were all matching, Like matching uniforms, hats, everything.

Like every group, There's always the leader. And in this case, The leader was the kid in the middle, Well that's what I'm assuming. When I got there to the commotion, Benny glanced back at me for a quick moment then stepped in my way, blocking my view a bit.

"What the hell do you want now, Phillips?" Benny snarled. Phillips. So that's his name. Probably his last name, I haven't heard anyone with the first name Phillips.

He was kinda short, Yet taller than me. His hair was like a dark blond and his eyes were like a chocolate brown. He scanned the area, looking at each and every one of us with a deadly glare, even me.

I furrowed my brows a bit and we waited for his response that he has not yet given. "It's easy when you play with a bunch of rejects and a fat kid, Rodriguez." He finally blurts out, Benny sharply exhaled and pointed his bat at him, "Shut your mouth, Phillips!" He exclaimed angrily.

"Or what? What are you gonna do?"

Benny stayed quiet, He just continued on with breathing quite angrily. The boys all looked at him, Then back at Phillips. I glared at him and he smirked at me. "What's a pretty girl like you playing with a bunch of losers?" He asked me.

"Losers? Didn't they beat you last time?" I innocently asked, I grinned and poked my bottom lip out.

His whole team looked away as if they were embarrassed sort of. Phillips's jaw hung open and he scowled at me with half-lidded eyes. "Not this time they won't, That's if, They're up to the challenge."

"Of course we are! We're gonna kick your asses like we did the first time!" The boys all cheered in unison, Including me.

"Shut up Porter!" He angrily exclaimed.

"Newsflash Phillips, She plays better ball than you!"

Everything grew silent, I glanced at Benny's shoes, which were well dug into the dirt already. Now to think of it, My foot is tiny compared to his.

"Tomorrow, Our field," Phillips stated as he gritted his teeth. His face was already turning red and he looked like he was ready to beat the crap out of someone.

As they were just about to leave in their bikes, Phillips looked back again, "Hey Rodriguez!" He called out. Benny stayed quiet, I look down and his grip around his bat tightened and his veins began to pop out.

"Make sure to bring your cute little friend there, Gives me a nice view to look at."

And then, He snapped.
