Twenty | Family

"The baby is so tiny, mommy. Dahyunie hand small." Taehyun said as sat on my bed beside Dahyun.

"She's already six months though." I told him while smiling. Dahyunie was learning how to sit up and nearly got it. Sometimes she'd lose strength and flop over so we always had pillows around her when she was sitting.

"Where's my babies?" Mark said as he entered the room. He was busy cooking us food.

Dahyunie flailed her arms and kicked her feet excitedly when Mark walked in. Her rolls made everyone adore her a lot.

"Why baby so squishy squishy?" Taehyun asked curiously when he gently squeezed Dahyun's arm.

"Taehyun!" Mark laughed loudly. "She's a baby. She is squishy squishy like you. You are a little less squishy but you were like this at one point in time."

Mark kissed Taehyun's cheek before kissing Dahyun's cheek. "Dahyunie, you're awake?" Mark said.

She smiled brightly at him before she suddenly lost strength to sit up from seeing Mark and leaned sideways.

Taehyun gasped loudly since I taught him he needed to watch out for the baby falling over even if pillows were around her. I reminded him that she could fall off the bed, fall off the couch, or hit her head on the carpet.

Mark caught her and sat her back up. "So floppy." Mark said as he fixed the pillows around her to support her more.

"It's okay. Mommy and daddy are watching her." I said while I scooted Taehyun to my lap.

"Oh, so heavy." I said to him now that he was three and a half now. "Mommy's so sad that you're almost four years old."

"But it's okay, mommy. I grow big and big, and then I go to school. I make new friends." He said as he reassured me with what I used to say to him.

"I know, but mommy love you so much. I want you to stay small." I said to him.

"Small like Dahyunie?" He asked me while looking up at me.

I nodded.

He smiled. "No, mommy is so silly. I can't be small like Dahyunie anymore. I just grow big." He laughed like I was a silly person to him.

"Come on, Taehyunie. Breakfast is ready." Mark said as he scooped up Taehyun. Mark lifted Taehyun with his arms under his knees and neck. Mark leaned down and blew some raspberries on Taehyun's stomach which made him laugh loudly.

"That tickles, daddy!" Taehyun said as he giggled.

I picked up Dahyun and carried her out. "Oh, my baby Dahyunie." I said as I placed a kiss on her forehead. She smiled at me which made me happy.

Although she looked like Taehyun when she was a newborn, she started to look like Mark lately.

I sat down at the table with everyone and let Dahyun breastfeed. She latched on by herself and placed her hands on top of my breast to keep it steady.
