With a big sigh Jeongguk unlocks the door of the house where he lives with his parents. It has been an eventful afternoon for the young man.

Shortly after Taehyung had come home, Chansol woke up. Jeongguk made his food and fed it to him. He also changed the diapers of the little boy and Jeongguk's able to admit that everything worked smoothly. Chansol is, like Dasom said before, a really calm and easy care baby.

Taehyung didn't show up for the rest of the time, wether it was because of Chansol or Jeongguk himself, the male doesn't know. But after seeing the young man, Jeongguk knows that Taehyung is a good person. It's just too much grief and pain for him to take at the moment. Jeongguk was able to see how sad and tired Taehyung is, just by looking into his eyes for a few seconds.

And Jeongguk, being the caring person he is, made it to his duty to help Taehyung to be happy again. Jeongguk knows that the other is basically a stranger to him but somehow he feels the need to help him. Somehow he can see himself in Taehyung.

While taking off his shoes, Jeongguk lets the others know that he is here by shouting, "I'm back!" He hears footsteps coming from the living room and soon he is greeted by his older brother Seokjin.

"Hey there little one.", Seokjin smiles at him. "Hi hyung, but... why are you here?", Jeongguk asks, a confused look on his face. It's not that he isn't happy about meeting his brother, he is just a bit confused since his brother lives in an appartment with his boyfriend and normally just visits them after announcing it beforehead.

"Am I not allowed to visit my family? I'm hurt.", Seokjin says, playfully clutching his chest. Jeongguk rolls his eyes at his brother's overdramatic behavior, "You know I love it when you visit us, I simply didn't expect you to come here today."

"I know.", Seokjin laughs, "I'm just messing with you." The younger male sighs. That's his brother in all his glory.

"I heard you got yourself a new job? Did you quit your last one? I thought you liked it.", Seokjin asks now, showing genuine interest. "I did like it but I don't know.. it was the same everyday and the kid was a spoilt brat. I found this job offer in the newspaper and thought why shouldn't I at least try? So here I am. The baby is really nice and they pay well."

"Mhm", Seokjin hums approvingly, while going to the living room, plopping himself down on the couch, Jeongguk doing the same, "Doesn't sound bad."

"Where's mom?", Jeongguk questions curiously. Their mother should be home by now since she works at a café and only has to stay until 5. "She's getting pizza. Dad has called earlier, asking if we could order pizza for dinner since he's craving. Being the nice wife mom is, she ordered some right away."

Jeongguks feels his stomach grumble after hearing those words from his brother. "Please tell me you ordered one for me too.", the male whines, just now feeling how hungry he actually is. "Of course. Do you really think mom would forget about you?", Seokjin chuckles. "Just wanted to make sure, I'm starving."

Suddenly the sound of someone unlocking the door startles both of them. "Talking about the devil...", Seokjin mutters jokingly, making Jeongguk snort.

Shortly after, their mother appears at the doorstep with four pizza boxes in her hands. "Ah Jeongguk, you're back. Just in time for dinner. Your dad will come home in half an hour. He has just called that he's stuck in traffic. He said we should eat without him."

She places the boxes on the table in the living room and goes to the kitchen to get forks and knives. As soon as she comes back, all three dig into their meals.

"So, Jeongguk, how was it?", his mother suddenly asks. "Well,", he starts, gulping down before he continues, "The house is really big and pretty. And the baby is calm and doesn't cry often."

"And the baby's father?"

Jeongguk has told his mother the story of the young man losing his love and after hearing it, she just hoped for her son that the other wouldn't be harsh on him.

"He was.. uhm a little distant. He didn't really say much. But I could clearly see how much he is hurting. I feel sorry for him. I believe that he is most likely a nice person that is just too hurt at the moment.", Jeongguk explains.

"Oh poor boy.", Jeongguk's mother says pitiful, "Don't give up if he's being mean, maybe there's a great human under his facade."

"I know, mom. My main priorities are to care for Chansol and look after the house, but I somehow I feel the need to show Taehyung his great son and perhaps I'm able to make him love his son. And I also want to show him that life goes on and that he can be happy again. It's hard but not impossible."

His mother flashes him a proud smile that soon changes in a worried look on her face, "Are you sure that you're ready for that?"

"Yeah mom don't worry." Jeongguk reassures her.

"And when exactly do you move in with them?", Seokjin changes the topic, looking questioningly at his brother. "In two days, when Dasom, Taehyung's mother has to go back to work again.", Jeongguk explains, feeling giddy just thinking about it.

On one side he's looking forward to that day, on the other side he's really nervous and in some way even a little scared. He just hopes that he doesn't mess it up. It's really important that he does well, especially during the first days. And he has to admit that even though Taehyung's cold aura was really intimidating, it also made him curious.

Curious, to get to know the person behind the facade that he built up to prevent himself from getting hurt again. Jeongguk shakes his head. This isn't his business but he can't help feeling the need to help. This whole story affects him so much. It reminds him of himself.
