After Taehyung left, Jeongguk decides to go with Chansol to the pond so that he can have a look at the fish inside.
As they arrive at the water, the young man adjusts his hold on Chansol so that the boy's able to have a good look. It doesn't take long until Jeongguk's able to hear the giggles of the baby.
Chansol points at the little animals inside the pont with his fingers, kicking his legs in happiness.
Seeing the baby being happy like that makes Jeongguk feel the need to capture this moment, so he takes out his phone to take a few pictures of the little boy. He sends one to Taehyung and puts another one as his homescreen in his phone.
They spent there about half an hour, sitting on the grass, Chansol in Jeongguk's arms, watching his surroundings.
And Jeongguk takes photos of the scenery around him and of course the baby in front of him (they don't turn out as his best photos since he only has one free hand but Jeongguk doesn't mind a bit).
It's crazy how much Chansol's grown since he first met him. Seeing how he can laugh so brightly and grab after the rattle, shows Jeongguk what a big boy he already is.
And it's so crazy how much you're able to love two people in such a short amount of time. They're his everything. And this shows Jeongguk's camera roll as well, as it's to eighty percent full of pictures of Chansol and Taehyung.
But suddenly, Jeongguk notices that the little boy starts to get tired and decides that it's time to leave. He lies the baby into the stroller and begins their walk home.
It only takes a few minutes and the baby's already fast asleep, a content look on his face. He pushes the stroller on the sideway where everywhere around them are shops and busy people. Everybody seems to be in a hurry.
Jeongguk lets his eyes ghost over all the shops until one catches his attention. A small café that looks really inviting.
Jeongguk pushes the stroller closer so that he can take a look at the poster that's fixated on the display window.
It says that they are searching for a worker as soon as possible. And after reading it Jeongguk really considers to apply for the job.
This sounds really good. He wouldn't have to work for many hours and only in the forenoon. If he would be able to take Chansol with him this job would be perfect.
Since he got together with Taehyung, Jeongguk spent lots of time thinking what he should do now. It was clear for them that Taehyung wouldn't continue to pay Jeongguk as they are a family now.
It would feel wrong to receive money from his boyfriend for looking after their son. So they agreed on stopping their contract.
And even though Taehyung reassured Jeongguk that he earns enough money and that he doesn't need to work, Jeongguk can't help but feel the need to search for a job. He feels bad when he doesn't do anything.
Jeongguk also wants to pay for the house they live in together.
As he's still so lost in his thoughts, Jeongguk doesn't notice the person approaching him. "Hey! Are you maybe interested?"
Jeongguk turns his head quickly to look at the person. It's a man, about the same age like Jeongguk with a friendly smile on his lips. "Hi.. uhm I just read through it- it sounds really nice."
"I'm happy to hear that. We're in need of more workers since one moved away and we can't manage all the customers anymore at the moment. Oh god- I'm Yugyeom by the way, I totally forgot to introduce me." the other bubbles, and Jeongguk immediately takes a liking in him. He seems really nice and genuine.
"No problem! I'm Jeongguk!" he introduces himself. "And yeah, I really think this would be a job that I like but I don't think that it's possible. Little Chansol here needs me." Jeongguk explains, giving the baby a short glance to make sure that he's still asleep.
"Oh that wouldn't be a problem. We don't have long working hours, only in the forenoon and only two, at most three days per week and you could take him with you. That's completely okay." Yugyeom tells him. "So you don't have to worry about that."
Jeongguk nods slowly, a small smile forming on his lips. "Can I still think about it a bit before I decide?"
Yugyeom nods assuringly, "Of course you can. Don't stress. And when you've decided or you have a question you can always call me." He searches inside his pocket before he pulls out a card.
Jeongguk takes it and smiles thankfully. "Thank you. I will!"
"See you!" Yugyeom says as he waves goodbye and walks around the next corner.
Jeongguk takes a better look at the card, only to see that Yugyeom seems to be the owner of the shop. Oh god, Jeongguk thinks, embarrassed.
He would have acted a bit different if he'd known that this could be his boss one day. On the other hand Yugyeom didn't seem like he's the kind of boss who's cold or who wants a lot of authority.
With a content smile, Jeongguk puts the card into the backpocket of his trousers and continues his way home. Chansol sleeps throughout the entire walk so that the young man has a lot of time to think about the offer.
He really wants to do it, Jeongguk knows that he'd feel a lot better knowing that Taehyung's not the only one paying for their home.
And if he can take Chansol with him then it would be perfect.
