          Exploring The Kingdom

Following closely behind an hour glass silhouette, Fenix walked carefully as if every step would potentially trigger a bomb, and for all she knew it would. She wouldn't put it past Victoria to lead her into a trap, but she was desperate enough to take the chance and confident enough that Victoria's fear of Perilous would at the very least keep her alive.

The two walked down down the middle path of the city nearest the mansion. Many persons walked eyeing them suspiciously, some of the beings looked normal and human. While others had skin colors of oil black, deep blue and red. Some had pointed ears, large brooding bodies with horns dramatically contrasting those who stood no taller than two feet.

The city was full of two story modern flat roof homes and beautiful glossy stone marble architecture. The lots resembled the homes so much so that without the signs that read "Market", "Fortune" ,"Bar" and "Potions" you wouldn't be able to tell apart a residency from a public venue.

The only buildings that stood out were the few tall six story black glass tinted buildings that seemed to disappear under the thick velvety sky. Perilous' building was the tallest and the farthest away from the rest. Alone it stood far to north west encompassing fear on those who glanced in the direction, the clouds darkening above it unlike the rest of the sky.

It was then that she noticed it was more of a  luxurious condo than a mansion as  she'd been referring to it as all along.

The sky was an illuminating variation of reds filled with brown smoke like clouds. Unlike the Earths blue & white slow moving skies, the brown and darker red clouds moved rapidly, violently running into each other swirling in circles above the heads of the creatures that walk below. Stirring in anxiety.

Fenix watched in amazement the interaction between the creatures. How seemingly average people bared sharp teeth and released threatening growls at a group of tall pale beings with purple eyes. And how those purpled eyed people in turn observed everyone with upturned noses in disgust.

Fenix had never in her life seen so much people and buildings. She guessed this is what Earth had looked like before the grounds shook and the oceans had caught fire, before it rained meteors and fire, the Apocalypse. Her eyes teared but a small smile found its way on her plump lips. This was as close to normal as she ever thought she'd ever experience.

"Hurry up Fefe, I need a drink." Victoria snorted rolling her eyes before turning to strut towards a building labeled Bar.

"Victoria I'm 17!" She whispered yelled

"Are you fucking kidding me? You weren't even crawling when the alcohol age restrictions were enforced on earth. So shut up and let go!" She cursed over her shoulder not once looking to make you ensure Fenix followed.

But of course she did, she followed with a groan and immediately regretted it once they were inside. The bar was dark, void of any light the only thing illuminating the room was clear jars harboring in-prisoned little beings with wings that glistened and shone. When they began to dim, the green skinned red haired bartender would shake them violently.

The poor creatures

Fenix held eye contact with  one in particular, his skin was mustard yellow, as were his his sweat soaked wings. His trousers and blouse looked worn out, torn skin oozing red blood. He pleaded with torn eyes and mouthed something she couldn't quite make out. Squinting desperately to decode the message Fenix was knocked onto the ground her back breaking her fall.

Vision blurry she looked up in a daze only to find one of those large beings sporting horns looking over her with annoyance.

"You best watch where you're walking if you wish'n tuh keep them there legs attached." He hissed.
